Dexter sat calmly as Mandark did his ranting. Over time, he had learned to take his victories, just like his losses, with dignity. But there was no doubt in his mind that this was a certain victory on his side.
So calm he was, he hardly was detered by Uno's accusation. "Perhaps I am, from your perspective. I could say the same thing about your creator. After all, he's tried on more than one occasion to shut down my laboratories to selfishly provide his own with more power; I'm sure he hasn't enlightened your on THOSE tales, have you, Mandark?"

"Considering the nature of Uno, it's not exactly improbable that she hasn't absorbed that information already, Dexter." He spat in response.
"Now, I'm curious as to exactly WHY my lab has possibly lost a chemistry room, and exactly when my laboratory became a museum." Mandark continued, cringing. He liked that room.
"I would also like to point out that it's not entirely impossible that whatever transported us all here also sent us through a time warp, thus sort of salvaging my theory."
And of course, Mandark's lab was a museum. And in a museum, there was always that one overtly 'nerdy' guy. That one guy that seemed just there for the comedic effect, were it not for the fact that the author of this post totally has a plot in mind for him. The person in mind was oddly pale, with freckles dotting his face. He had a pair of glasses similar to Dexter's, or Mandark's. His brown hair seemed rather disheveled, perhaps from the trip he'd just taken. There was a weapon on his back, connected by a strap which overlapped his brown shirt. His cargo pants were a bit scuffed, as if he'd recently taken a fall. Douglas E. Mordecai the third had arrived.
And of course, the first person he saw was the person he LEAST wanted to see. Susan Astronomonov. He gritted his teeth a bit, before completely entering.
"Salutations, Dr. Horrible." Douglas greeted, adjusting his glasses a tad. The response was not expected.
"Er... who exactly are you?" Mandark asked, rubbing his forehead. Had Douglas been in contact with a drink of water, he'd have done a spit take.
"My designation is Douglas E. Mordecai. The third." Douglas responded. Mandark's face was still blank.
"Mordepie?"
"Mordecai."
"Fordelai?"
"MORDECAI."
"I don't think I know you."
"M-O-R-D-E-C-A-I."
"Oh. You're the fellow that no one knows." Mandark deduced, falling back in his chair.
"...you are aware that I currently have a weapon with the ability to expel a burst of flame, yes?" Douglas questioned, gesturing to his back.
"...you are aware that you're in my lab, yes?"
"Sigh. I'm sure Dexter recalls my identity, correct?" Mordecai inquired, turning to the boy genius.
Now excuse me while I go read a thesaurus.

Uno crossed her arms and a matter of fact expression spread on her face. It probably reminded Dexter a little much of that one time he gave his sister a better brain, "Well, maybe he has more right to that power. I'm sure his lab is better than your current one."
Which might have stung a little. Uno looked to the side as she heard footsteps, and barely managed to trip over her own feet getting out of the way. The new arrival didn't seem to notice her, probably for the better considering the mistake Dexter had made upon first seeing Uno. As Douglas and Mandark had their little exchange, Uno tilted her head sideways and watched. It seemed Mandark had at least met this Mordecai. She glared as the new arrival made his threat about the flamethrower. She was stepping forward to give "Mordecai" a piece of her mind when a bit of sparking appeared above Mordecai.
She made a small "eep!" noise and hopped backwards. Either Mordecai was too busy waiting for Dexter to reply or to slow to dodge, but a black tear of sorts appeared at the center point of the sparking. And Mandark's No Good Horrible Very Bad Day was about to crash into the "third time's a charm" cliche in relation to Dexter. Because a rather familiar and startled girl dropped from the rip, a stuffed unicorn clutched tight to her chest. And there wasn't really time for Mordecai to dodge now, the poor sap.
Third Time's a Charm, indeed. After all, Dexter had already mistaken two people for Dee Dee. Perhaps charm isn't the right word? Curse, perhaps? Because, after all, this time it was Dee Dee... heading straight for a crash landing on top of Mordecai.

(don't worry, I vaguely remember him, but I'm gonna keep the trend going XD)
Dexter flinched slightly at Uno's comment and was about to rebuttal, when Mordecai made his entrance. He rolled his eyes at his exchange with Mandark; the buffoon couldn't even say his name.
When the kid addressed him, he was placed in an awkward position for a breif second, as he, in fact, did not recognize him. But thankfully, he was taken out of everyone's attention when then entered another, landing on top of the poor kid.
Dexter blinked. For a split second, he thought that girl looked awfully familiar. He then looked at Uno, remembering his last mistake. One shouldn't be quick to assume things.
And yet...
"....Dee-Dee?" he asked for the second time today.

In the brief seconds before the rip appeared, a feeling of intense confusion began to well up inside of Douglas. Was his best friend... hesitating to declare Douglas' own chosen alias? Could that mean that he really had been pushed from the boy genius' mind? On the other hand, it was, of course, only a few seconds. Perhaps expecting a lightning quick response for such a mundane question was too much. Perhaps Dexter was adding dramatic effect, perhaps...
These are the thoughts that ran through Mordecai's mind before a tear in reality appeared above him. He merely had time to look up, having heard Uno's 'eep' and wishing to know the target of her shock, when another person crashed into him. 'crashed' might not be the best word, but due to Douglas' lack of physical strength, it felt like a ton of bricks had been dropped upon him. He merely had time for a brief rush of adrenaline to hit him before she hit.
Mandark was as shocked as Dex, if not moreso. There she was, the target of his affections, Dee Dee, in the flesh. Not a mistake made when creating his own sentient computer virus, either. The actual girl.
The boy was unable to make words, he was so surprised. Shock overwhelmed him and he found himself merely babbling.

(OOC: NN1, about the Dark Insects. I figure the sanest way to allow this thread to continue is to have a few survive the big jewel piece finale or place this before it somehow - This whole encounter could be happening after it somehow.. Even with the plot solved, I figure it isn't an issue to have some of the creatures still around, its just that they wouldn't be controllable like they were, nor would they be a big threat anymore. Enough would exist for the little competition, though. :3)
The girl who was indeed Dee Dee blinked a few times in surprise. She looked around slowly. She recognized the lab well enough. She'd seen Mandark's new lab a few times since he'd rebuiilt it. She didn't seem to be aware her landing had been softened by someone Dexter knew. She finally looked up enough to see Dexter, and it was with pretty amazing speed she was on her feet.
She hadn't seen Uno, Mandark, Mr. Copycat, Momoko, Cody, and she wasn't even aware she'd been "caught" to see Douglas. She did see Dexter, and suddenly she tensed up. She clenched her hands into fists, her unicorn plush behind held by one of its rear legs. She leaned forward towards Dexter and looked like she'd tip if she leaned anymore. And then she opened her mouth and...
"DEXTER YOU ARE THE WORLD'S BIGGEST JERK!"
Yes, all caps is needed. Because Dee Dee was most certainly screaming. At least it wasn't a screech like Uno had done. Still, Mandark's lab echoed back the sound. Momoko had put her hands over her ears as Dee Dee tensed up. Uno was blinking and looking between Dee Dee and Mandark. That was Dee Dee? She suddenly wondered about the method behind her creation again. She had covered her ears after Dee Dee said Dexter's name though. Why was Dexter a jerk?
Well, there was a simple reason why. Dexter had gotten absorbed in his studies of Dimension Island. Dexter had left to visit Dimension Island. Dexter had, after a month and a half of his sister squeeing and chatting, managed to forget her sixteenth birthday. Dexter was, needless to say, in massive trouble. Not that anyone but Dexter had a chance of knowing this due to time flux and when each member of the room had arrived...

Mr. Copycat was at a loss for words. He had stood idly by while Mandark and Dexter spoke, choosing it would be better to let them resolve things between them on their own. Then Mordecai had appeared. Again, Mr. Copycat had stayed silent. Then Dee Dee had appeared, and landed on top of Mordecai.
"...So many new people appearing today," Mr. Copycat commented. And then Dee Dee had screamed. Mr. Copycat pressed his hands to his ears as she screamed. Somehow, her scream had hit just the right frequency for it to hurt like hell.
"Um, excuse me, er, Ms. Dee Dee, correct?" Mr. Copycat asked. "Could you please not do that again? I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable way for you to confront Dexter without screaming."

Dexter leaned back, cringing deeply at screams high enough to break through the sound barrier. Uneasily, he rubbed his ears.
'Yup. That is Dee Dee for sure this time.'
"Ggh... what did I do THIS time, dear sister?" he grunted.

Mandark did all he could to repress a chuckle. He had to admit, it was oddly humorous that his arch rival was in trooooooouble. Most definitely gave him an ego boost. Mordecai, on the other hand, had more... pressing matters...
"I believe... you fractured... my fibula..." He groaned.

Dee Dee's mouth just fell open. Then he really had forgotten? He'd really forgotten her birthday? Her sixteenth birthday? She pulled the plushie up close and squeezed it tight. She'd thought maybe he'd just spaced it. Dexter was stupid like that sometimes. But surely being reminded he was a jerk should have been enough? I mean, okay, this was Dexter she realized that. But it wasn't just any birthday. That would have been something entirely different. It was her sweet sixteen and her brother had completely forgotten about it.
However, she heard the pained grunts of someone else. Her expression of being about ready to cry faded a bit and she looked over to where the noise was coming from. The position of the group meant that no one else crossed her vision as she looked. She blinked and held one hand to her mouth.
"Omigod! Are you okay!?" She rushed over and crouched down, offering a hand, "You're Dexter's BFF, right? Um... Douglas, it was?"
(OOC: If by some crazy chance know one knows what BFF means, its Best Friend Forever. Hey, its Dee Dee, whaddya expect? XDD)
