"Wonder what other types of people would be in here." Bashton mumbled still memorizing the shadows.

Chip stared at Mandark. There was nothing about the boy's appearance especially that surprised him; it was the fact that it was a young boy who was running all of this. On the other hand, he'd met Lili and Kid before.
"So. You the person who's running the programs here?" Chip asked. "'Cause I need to borrow your computer for a bit." The Gadget sleeve that was holding the computer Chip had brought gently placed it on the ground. "And if you won't give me it... then I suppose I'll have to... I guess I'll just have to kill you." Chip smiled.

Zero had waited for the two others to head upstairs before heading up himself. He saw Chip's sleeves glaring threatingly at the kid. He strolled right past Chip and looked into one of the screens. It was as if he didn't even care the blue humanoid was there. He turned to Mandark, "You write these programs?"
What made it an interesting statement was that no "programs" were displayed. Just the end result. Zero'e eyes were scanning the computers and he seemed off in his own little world.
A warning appeared on whatever computer held the main information for the compound. It wasn't the one Zero was staring at, in any case. It was trying to alert Mandark to a virus. It had popped up when Zero had walked into the room. Zero remained fixated on the computer as if he were reading lines of code that should not have been visible.
"You virus software's a little sensitive, though," he said, again commenting on something he should not have been able to know without seeing the coding.

Mandark paused for a moment. The fact that his main computer sent off a warning when this guy walked into the room was bad enough. Also the fact that he was being threatened for use of his OWN computer. But it was more that this unnamed figure seemed to be reading his system. Without looking through his programs. There was really only one response he could give these strange people.
"BAHAHA. BAHAHAHAHA. BAHAHA. BAHAHAHAHA. Are you actually criticizing MY work? Do you know who I AM?" Mandark nearly doubled over from laughter, his null void projector still held at the ready. And then, in a few seconds, his face was serious again, turning his attention to Chip for a moment.
"I don't believe you completely understand the situation. I am the one with the gun shaped object that creates a portal to a very, very bad place. I am the one that doesn't have to worry about being sucked into it. You don't frighten me." It wasn't a COMPLETE bluff. He kept his finger on the trigger, just in case.
"And you. I don't trust you around my systems." His finger hovered over a button on his chair. He wasn't ready to use the projector, not yet. No. That's what he had robots for.

"Weirdo" Bashton said as he turned left outside the door and fell into a shadow silently and slipped into Mandark's chair shadow quick enough so that normal people wouldn't notice.

Now it was Chip's turn to laugh. "I find that hilarious. You honestly think a gun, portal making or not, will be of any use against me?" he said, slipping out of his false personality into the real one. "And to echo your previous statement, do you know who I am?"
As he spoke, Chip's left sleeve was snaking its way through the room, examining everything around him, while the right one stayed alert, its vision trained on the null void projector. If Mandark looked like he was going to fire it, then Gadget could just snatch it up.

Zero straightened up, "Insulting? No, I was just pointing out a weakness if your virus system. It could cause your computer to freeze up before a real threat occured," Zero shrugged, "I think the program is quite well written, actually. Although there does seem to be a lot of binary about this character named Dexter. You infatuated with him or something?"
Zero had no idea that he had probably just made the biggest insult he possibly could. He had, rather blatently, asked Mandark if he "liked" Dexter. As in "like liked". Anyone outside the 4th wall that had an inkling as to who Mandark was were now likely wincing as they waited for his reaction.

Mandark's eye twitched madly. He stared at this stranger, INFURIATED. No one, NO ONE, insinuated that he liked that fool, Dexter. No one that wanted to live, at least.
"What... did you... just say?" It was a rhetorical question, really. He gave one last seething glare at the odd man before slamming his fist down on the button.
Panels around the room began to fire up. There was actually an odd amount of space there. A rather large room. Behind each panel was a small ARMY of robots. They activated when he pressed a green button next to the aforementioned red ones.
"Robots. Kill them. And bring the blasphemer to me." It would have been quicker to use the Null Void Projector. But he wanted these people, this person, to suffer.
And so they moved out. Each one armed with lasers and the like. With merely one intention in mind.
"Kiiiiiiiiiiill."

The moment Chip saw the robots, he switched to "survival" mode, and decided that it was time to switch off the handicap. In a flash, he shoved his back arms out of the back of his shirt, shifted his leechsleeves to them, and knocked the Null Void Projector out of Mandark's hand before snatching it up.
"For a genius, you sure are stupid. Well, thanks for the portal gun," Chip taunted. He took a look at the army of robots, and cracked his knuckles. "So, my virus friend, do you want to take them out, or should I?"

Bashton just moved from the chair shadow to one of the robot's and his hand ship-shaped into a large knife. "This will be fun" he thought to himself as he ran through a row of robots slicing their head's off.

Zero was chuckling to himself. Now wasn't the time for a full out giggle fit, but his kid reacted so well to being harassed. Dexter was actually only the secondary name he'd seen in the system. And it was more plans on how to defeat the other boy than anything else. On the other hand, there was another name...
"You two do what you will, I've got my own plan," he winked before flashing into his viral form of digital distortion and going through one of the many ports of the computer system.
Even Zero was a bit surprised as he went through the system. For one, the security system was top notch, especially around the data he was trying to access. This kid was more than a little obsessed. And to those outside of the digital mind of the computer, it was going off like MAD. Every single virus alert system Mandark had was blaring. Mandark was no idiot, he would know exactly what data Zero was headed for. Not Zero's intentions, but the fact that the data was about a girl named Dee Dee was plenty enough to be worried about.

Now would have been a good time to have went for his Null Void Projector gun. But, instead, he pressed a button on his chair. A bright blue shield-like object appeared over both he and his computer. Rather easy to shut down if the thing PROJECTING the shield was hit.
"COMPUTER. ACTIVATE AUTOMATED DEFENSES." He said it in a bit of a hurry, quickly turning to face his computer. He didn't know HOW the male had gotten inside his data... but there was one piece of information that he couldn't let ANYONE see.
A few stealthily placed mounted laser guns appeared out of the ceiling, firing wildly. His computer was, luckily, also behind the shield. The boy was tapping away MADLY at his computer. He had a certain NEED to protect these files. But he couldn't delete them, unfortunately. And if the virus managed to get through his top notch protection, hiding was out of the question.
"No one out-viruses Mandark..."

As the mounted guns began firing, Chip cleared a path through the robots using his sleeves, and then dodged out of the way, letting the laser guns take out the robots instead. One laser shot nicked Chip's antennae, though, and that made him turn straight towards the laser gun that had shot him.
"Oh, you bastard." Chip shot both of the leechsleeves at the ceiling and let them cling there before pulling himself up there too and kicking the gun out of place. He then looked down, and realized that he'd left the Philosopher's Heart in the middle of the fray.
"Out of the way everyone!" Chip yelled as he swung back down to grab the power source, clearing through the robots again. A robot had trampled over the computer itself though. "Damn. Three months of work gone to waste," Chip said under his breath. He turned towards the robots, and then smirked, holding up the Null Void Projector gun. "Let's see how well this works on inferior robots."
He then fired it into the crowd, not knowing nor caring that Bashton might be in there.

"Crap" Bashton said as he slid into Chip's shadow as fast as possible and appeared out of it with his hand as a large knife.

Zero tsked a bit as he skirted around the edge of several defenses. He paused in the computer and drifted back some. That kid really was obsessive. Beyond definition. He had just exposed his entire system to protect this "Dee Dee" data. The most Zero had gotten was that it was a girl the self proclaimed genius knew. He'd gotten one image of her before deciding to back off.
What is he, some kind of stalker?
Zero started pulling back when he sensed the data he had first noticed. Second in size only to the "Dee Dee" files, it was the one with the Dexter binary plastered all over it. That could be interesting. Zero moved over to the files and targeted the things that held them together. He managed to wipe out about half of the raw data, and ten percent of the connecting information. What still remained would take hours of decoding to recover.
Zero would have had to work at it had the defenses not been so clustered around the Dee Dee files. As it were, it was like he had waltzed into a system with no virus protection whatsoever. He could have easily deleted more, but something on the outside was effecting the stability of the system. The surveillance cameras had been shot and he couldn't get a look through them. So it was time to leave.
One of the monitors behind Chip fried itself as Zero materialized out and took his human form again. He just stared at the carnage. Well, he'd seen temper tantrums but this was a whole new level. He glanced at Chip and saw his antenna. That had to hurt.
Other than observing the situation he just stood there. He was right in the path of one of the defense system guns. However, getting shot would merely disable his human form for a while. It would be a terrible inconvenience... Zero grinned evilly, probably attracting attention to himself. If the boy did that, he had the perfect target...
