And then he was reaching for his pocket. He had a smaller blaster in there somewhere, he assumed. Now to just... wait... THERE IT WAS.
"LEAVE! BEFORE I DESTROY YOU!" Mandark exclaimed, holding his newfound blaster out.
Granted, last time he'd tried to shoot Chip, it failed horribly... but in his defense, he couldn't see through his rage at this point.

"I think not."
The leechsleeve zoomed on over and snapped down on Mandark's arm with its extremely sharp fangs. Chip wasn't aiming to cut off the boy's arm, but it was entirely likely that it could happen if he increased the pressure too much.
"Now, I want you to be a good little boy and wait here for when Dexter gets those photos, because if he's anything like you, he's gonna come on rushing in out of disgust and fury," Chip taunted.

That was... unexpected. Very unexpected. So unexpected Mandark's only response was... well...
"Huh buh duh wha?"

Chip grabbed the blaster from Mandark, and then released him.
"Well, I think I'm done playing with you, so I'm gonna go. Have fun rewriting your whole system!" he said, pocketing the blaster and the disk before breaking a hole in the roof with a leechsleeve and jumping through that hole onto the roof.

And so he'd lost... or had he? Well... yeah, pretty much. And he'd had a mental breakdown, and... BAH. This wasn't supposed to happen.
"Goodbye then..." Mandark responded, crestfallen. And then the creature was on the roof...
...and then Mandark perked up.
"Scanbot. Can you lock on to his energy signature?" A nod from the robot, no larger than an ant. An ant with wings.
"Good. Follow him. I wish to... observe this Chip fellow."
