Mandark's eye twitched, yet again. He'd gotten the creature away from his 'Dee Dee' files, but he'd heard a light... frying sound when he emerged. That wasn't good. Not to mention as his Null Void Projector gun fired, all of his robots were sucked into the portal. Well, all the ones on the other side, at least.
His mounted guns were still okay, but... it wasn't enough. They were losing efficiency, their bolts straining against the power of the Null Void.
And so he reached at his side, under his cape, and pulled out a simple blaster. Nothing could ENTER the shield, but things could leave it. Oh, they could leave it. So he aimed at Chip, the one to have stolen his Null Void Projector gun. And he fired, aiming for his torso.

Just like how a fly can feel things moving towards them due to the air currents around them, Chip felt the laser bolt coming with his antennae, and jumped out of the way of the laser bolt, and landed next to the shield.
"Stupid boy," Chip said after landing. He pressed a button on the projector, and the Null Void portal that had opened closed up. "You've never been in battle before, have you? Gotta know your enemy."

Bashton didn't flinch as the laser passed him and then he sank into a shadow as he cut another row of robot's heads off.

Zero yawned. Yes, yawned. As if he were bored with the situation. The systems seemed to be failing all around him and it really would be too much bother to try and delete anything on this side of the virtual wall. He looked towards Bashton who for the first time since their meeting seemed to be having the time of his life as another robot head hit the floor.
He glanced at the remains of Chip's computer. That seemed to eliminate any reason he had for staying here. He yawned again, "You gonna wrap this up soon?"
He seemed to be addressing anyone willing to listen. It implied he found the whole situation so below him it wasn't worth sticking around.

Mandark's eye twitch was just... it was just horrible, now. Very unfitting, also.
"F... fine. Get out of my lab... before I... bah. Go. Now." Mandark turned to his computer. He'd have to check his files, make sure everything was in order.
"Because if you DON'T leave, I will kill you."

Chip responded to this by pointing the Null Void Projector gun at Mandark. Even if it wouldn't work against him because of the forcefield, it was still a pretty threatening image.
"Not so fast! I still need to use your systems, and since your robots destroyed my program... I'm gonna have to start from scratch. And for that, I require your computer," He smiled. "That won't be a problem, will it? Otherwise I may just have to use this nice shiny gun here on your whole base, and that won't be good, will it?"

Bashton just sighed and responded, "Just when I was having a little fun." as he jumped out the door and disappeared into a shadow that soon moved away.

Zero glanced at Chip. Surely it wasn't that important to get back to his dimension? Of course, who knows how long he had been there. And it was very likely his goals were different. Normal creatures tended to have trouble stopping and smelling the roses so to speak.
"Thanks for your hospitality," Zero waved as he headed for the stairs.
It didn't sound smartass. Heck, it sounded quite sincere. But the words themselves... well, that was Zero for you.

"I believe you've made a drastic miscalculation. If you use the null void projector on the rest of the lab, not ONLY does the computer lose power, but there's a possibility that the computer itself goes with it. I'm ready to shut down my shield if necessary." Mandark responded, hand hovering over the button.
"We're at a draw. Make your next move wisely." It was like chess to the young boy genius. Chess where lives were on the line, but chess nonetheless.
"And as for you. You'd better hope you didn't leave any long-term damage to my data." Mandark regarded Zero coldly.

(OOC: I KNOW its not my turn. But since Zero's fleeing the scene of the crime, I figure I can post without effecting things.)
Zero paused and gave a grin. Not a warm one either. More of a nonchalant "shrug" grin, "The only data I damaged had to do with that Dexter fellow you like so much."
Zero's smirk changed to an evil grin as Mandark glared at him. Hell, the glare was enough to rival one of Zero's scarier expressions. He made a slight waving motion and dissipated into data. Before Mandark could do anything to catch him he had used the network connections of the island to flee the area.

Chip smirked. "You're acting like I don't know it'll destroy the computer. Sure, there's other computers, but this one has the programs I need on it, plus the capability to actually support my program."
He licked his lips. "To be honest though, I just don't like you and I'm only here 'cause of your computer."

Mandark thought for a moment. This wasn't a good situation. It would take FOREVER to rebuild his lab if it was destroyed. As much as he HATED to admit it... he had to let this creature use his computer. It would be better than losing his entire lab.
"Grr... fine. I can allow you usage of my computer. But I have to have some kind of assurance that you won't destroy anything important." Mandark scowled. He didn't like losing. At all.

"Oh, I won't!" Chip said, moving over to the computer. "Not on purpose, anyways," he added under his breath, and got to work. It was a good ten minutes before he spoke again.
"Who's this Dee Dee person?"

"Dee Dee..." Mandark began. It seemed safe to tell Chip who she was. Not like there were any possible repercussions or anything.
"Dee Dee is that fool, Dexter's, sister. She's also the love of my life." Mandark's eyes took on a familiar heart shape.
"She's amazing, and nice, she does ballet... Dee Dee." He quickly slapped himself, however. Now was not a good time to go into love-mode.
"Why do you ask?"

Chip moved so Mandark could see the screen. "Because she's plastered all over the inside of your hard drive."
Somehow or another, Chip had managed to get past Mandark's security defenses and into his private files. He was either really good at messing things up, or he was smarter than he looked.
