Akina blinked as Mokuba ran forward and picked up the Torque. For the most part he was staying out of the conversation. It was obvious it was about a topic he had no idea about.
Then Kisa dropped the line about "demonic", and his expression became frighteningly dark.
"What do you mean by 'demonic'?" Akina asked. He had heard her call the items "evil", and he'd just walked out of a meeting with a few demon-hating old men who controlled his entire district. So what if demons had unstable powers due to living in their world instead of the Afterworld? That didn't mean it was okay to use the word as an insult like that.
He clenched his hands into fists. Calm down, Akina... Remember what happened when you lost your temper earlier...

Mokuba had paused as Akina's tone changed. Keeping his grip on the Torque, he turned towards Akina. Okay, his expression had changed too. He took a step backwards towards Kisa, who looked started at Akina's reaction change as well. She looked down, her hair falling in front of her face and completely concealing it.
"I am very sorry, please forgive me..." she mumbled. She looked up with her next bits, but her face was still mostly concealed by her hair, "I... I'm a sensitive. I can tell when things aren't quite right... I've seen one other object like that, a silver-haired man had it. I think he's a demon too... it was a pendant. I can't explain it, but those things... I think there's something dark about them."

Akina missed most of that response, because the moment Kisa said "silver-haired man", his thoughts jumped to the only silver-haired man he knew. The man who had gone to the Afterworld to help stop the blooming of the Seven Pillars and had gotten his body taken over by one of Akina's distant cousins for his effort.
Gin.
"Did you say 'silver-haired man'...?" Akina asked. "D-Did he have cat ears on his head and wear glasses?"
Akina was hoping he was mistaken. The fact was, Enjin was trying to cause the Seven Pillars to bloom and the dimensions to merge. Not only that, but he wanted his body in order to fully merge the dimensions. Akina doubted he could defeat Enjin right now if he tried. He doubted he'd have Yuuhi's help this time.

Mokuba had been about to tell this girl just how much he believed her. He may have been more accepting of this kind of thing than his brother, but he wasn't about to fall for this "sensitive" stuff. This woman had to know about the Millenium Items in some way she wasn't saying. Then again, she did seem... awfully meek. He looked at Akina with a puzzled expression as he asked his question.
And Kisa's head had shot up, the hair falling in a way that better revealed her eyes. They were wide. Cat ears? She had been thinking of them more as wolf ears, but that in combination with the glasses... she took a step forward, and hesitated. No, she didn't think he was around here... but what were the odds...
"A-Are you Akina-san...?"

Akina was starting to panic a bit at Kisa's reaction. Just from her reaction to that alone he could tell that she knew Enjin, at the very least. Which meant Enjin was here, wherever "here" was. He gave a small nod.
"Y-Yeah... Hiizumi Akina," Akina said. "Why do you ask?"

Kisa was beginning to look panicked. It got worse as Akina nodded. Mokuba frowned and crossed his arms, the Torque switching sides and continuing to hang from his hand. He didn't appreciate being ignored like this. Kisa was looking around very nervously... she was confident he wasn't here... but if he was hiding normally, she probably wouldn't know about his presence. She could only really key into him when he was using his powers to hide himself. Her eyes refocused on Akina as he gave his full name, her eyes widened.
"W-Wait, Hiizumi...? You are related to him...?" Kisa shook her head. It didn't matter if they were, it didn't matter if Akina was a demon, "No, don't answer. I..." Kisa closed her eyes and shook her head, trying to calm the forming tears away, "H-he said I promised him to find you to help someone I don't even remember named Gin..."
"Hey, are you alright...?" Mokuba had shifted from annoyance to worry. This girl really seemed stressed.

Akina was looking even more concerned as Kisa went on. Enjin was definitely here, wherever here was. And he'd forced this girl to look for him... to help Gin. Dammit, he was using Ao's brother as a bargaining chip to force people into helping him... except this girl didn't even remember who Gin was. So why...?
"He said you promised to help Gin?" Akina asked. There was a fair bit of worry in his tone. "Gin's a friend of mine whose body Enjin took over..."
This didn't make any sense to Akina. This wasn't like Enjin, Enjin had never come after him so directly. In fact, the only time he'd actually run into Enjin in person was when that neighboring mayor had tried to kidnap Kohime, but even then he'd done it in a disguise... but this girl didn't seem much like Enjin. So why...?

Mokuba looked at Akina and he paled when the teen mentioned this Enjin had taken Gin's body over. He remembered being kidnapped by Malik's goons and the chaos that had come from all that. Malik had used Jounouchi to try and emotionally torture Yuugi, used Jounouchi's body. He swallowed hard and looked towards Kisa.
"Tha-that's what Enjin-san said... I don't remember him, though. I don't know why! I just knew I needed to look for you for some reason," Kisa pulled her arms close, almost as if she were shielding her chest, "H-he said he'd take over my body if I couldn't find you. I don't think finding you will help Gin... But you have to understand, he attacked my family!"

Akina was red-faced with anger as Kisa went on. Not at her, but at Enjin. Enjin was forcing this girl to hunt him down so he could take over his body. He'd attacked her family, and then threatened to take her over the same way he had Gin. Was there nothing Enjin wouldn't stoop to?
"He's using you to find me so he can take over my body.... dammit," Akina looked away. "It'll help Gin, but only because Enjin will be in my body instead."

Kisa looked down as Akina began getting angry. She didn't think it was directed at her, but it was easy enough to mistake it as such. Mokuba let out an elaborate sigh at the situation, which neither of them seemed to hear. Annoyance at being ignored followed, and he stepped forward and loudly cleared his throat.
"Look, I don't know what's going on with all this, but it doesn't change the fact that you know more about the Millenium Items than you should," Mokuba stated. He pointed at Kisa to make it clear who he meant, "I don't buy that stuff about being a 'sensitive' or whatever you called it. The only people that should know about these things are Niisama, Yuugi-tachi, and that Malik guy's family. Who are you?"
Kisa had looked up as Mokuba began to criticize her. Because of the way the boy had moved forward, it was the first time she got a clear look at his face. She blinked and lifted her hair out of her eyes to get a better look at him. Didn't he mention something about an older brother? That was an odd honorific, but... well, there had been something like a memory over that one pendant, hadn't there?
"I am sorry you don't believe me," she stated. She really sounded sorry too, like it was her own fault, "This may be rude, but do you know a Kaiba Seto...?"
Mokuba's eyes widened and the shout was a combination of worry and anger, "How do you know Niisama!?"

Akina blinked as Mokuba stepped forward and started speaking. He'd completely forgotten the kid was there, really. The situation with Kisa had been rather distracting, after all. He sweatdropped at the way Mokuba was acting. He kind of reminded him a little bit of Hime... they certainly had the same kind of eyebrows, which was kind of a funny thought.
He blinked again at the honorific Mokuba was using for his brother. That was a little overly respectful, considering this was his brother he was talking about. He looked a little startled as Mokuba shouted and looked over toward Kisa.
---------------
Enjin was a lot closer than Kisa knew. In truth, he hadn't actually been tailing her today, as he'd been doing various odd jobs, most of them likely not legal, to earn living expenses. He hadn't exactly come to this world with unlimited funds, and the less he exhausted Gin's satori power to get what he needed, the better.
However, when he heard Kisa's cries and a familiar voice, he dropped what he was doing to observe. His smirk curled into a grin as he realized what was going on. She'd worked much faster than he'd expected.... much faster. What Akina was doing in this part of Void City baffled him, but it confirmed one thing: Akina was on the island.

"Seto-san is your older brother?" Kisa's eyes were wide.
Mokuba blinked in surprise. Wait, Seto? The only people who ever used his older brother's given name were company employees. And that was to avoid confusion between him and his brother, as they used the Kaiba name for him. Had his brother really given her permission to address him like that? That seemed pretty much impossible, Seto never gave people permission for that.
"Don't talk about him like you know him that well!" Mokuba shouted.
Kisa looked down again, her hair falling back in her face, "S-sorry! I keep forgetting to address him as Kaiba-san..."
Mokuba glared, "Hey, don't avoid this! If you know Niisama, then you know where he is, right? You've gotta take me to him!"
The boy was trying to sound angry, but he was failing. Right now he seemed very concerned about the situation, and even his glare was losing some of its strength.

Enjin gave a wide smirk as Kisa once again tripped up and called Kaiba by his given name. She really needed to stop doing that, especially around people who would take it the wrong way, like this littlest Kaiba brother. He moved to a less visible location as Mokuba ordered Kisa take him to Seto.
Akina blinked at Kisa's "forgetfulness." For someone so polite, he'd have expected referring to someone by their family name would be the last thing she'd forget to do.
He turned toward Kisa. "By the way, this isn't the Afterworld, is it?"

Kisa looked away from Mokuba as he demanded to be taken to his older brother. Actually, she didn't have an idea where he lived. He was in the city, she was rather sure of that. Mokuba's worry was shifting to anger at the long pause again. Kisa looked towards Akina as he asked his question. She looked puzzled, and then something like realization dawned on her face.
"Oh, you just got here didn't you?" She sounded surprised and shook her head, "They call this place Dimension Island. I'm not sure why Enjin-san expected you to be here if you weren't here already..."
Kisa frowned, "H-Hiizumi-san, I'm really very sorry. But I... I'm going to have to tell Enjin-san I saw you... he'll attack my family again if I don't!"

Akina frowned at Kisa's explanation. Dimension Island...? Well, that confirmed things he'd already been thinking since Mokuba had managed to bring him back in tune. However, Kisa then moved on to the subject of Enjin. Akina gave a smile in an attempt to cheer Kisa up.
"Don't worry. Do what you have to. I've been wanting to take care of Enjin for a long time, anyways," Akina said. The main thing he was worrying about regarding this place was how his tuning abilities would be affected, especially since he didn't have the Seven Pillars to use as a tuning guide. If Enjin attacked him, it was quite possible he'd be defenseless.
He was still seething over Enjin's treatment of this girl, really. What was the point in hurting her like this? Shits and giggles? Somehow, Akina couldn't put that past Enjin, especially after the incident with Hime's dog. They'd never gotten any real confirmation on that, but Akina had the feeling that Enjin had been behind that too.
