Akina was seething. This had happened to him before, he should have expected it, and yet he hadn't seen it coming. He hadn't even realized he'd gone into Oyakume mode when Mokuba looked back and yelled at him to explain what was going on.
"He's using Gin's satori powers to interfere with our thoughts so we can't get near him! Dammit!" Akina yelled. "Kisa-chan, you need to run!"
Enjin chuckled at the amount of force Kisa was using in her words. Well, it seemed someone had gained a backbone. He continued to take steps toward Kisa, still smirking all the same.
"Ooh, scary. At least, it would be if I wasn't being threatened by a little girl," Enjin taunted. He reached into his jacket and pulled out his box cutter, taking it out in a way that made it obvious what he'd just removed from his coat while not actually pointing it at Kisa yet. There was a very good reason he wanted Kisa's body now. Gin's satori energy was running out fast, and unlike his homeworld, Enjin didn't have a very active source of the demon energy he'd used before.
"You should be glad. This way you're saving both Gin and Akina. It'll be mostly painless, too. I should know. My original body's lying in a coma back in my world, after all."

Mokuba's first thought was to completely balk what Akina had just said. The very idea of someone interfering with thoughts enough to make him not want to do something just seemed ridiculous. Then again, he really didn't want to move back towards where he'd been before. Whether it was from some kind of mind interference insanity or something else, he couldn't pass that point. Wouldn't. Couldn't. Dammit, his head hurt.
"What is that damn tuning bullshit good for then!?" Mokuba shouted. Akina said it hurt but he was looking as crazy as he had before, "He said he's gonna take over her body!"
Kisa flinched as Akina told her to run. Right now she was having to deal with her own life versus the lives of others. For a few dangerous seconds she considered just letting it happen. No one else needed to be hurt by this, right? But her eyes narrowed in a harsh glare when her family came up in her thoughts. No, she didn't trust this bastard. He'd hurt her family if she let this happen. She took a few more steps back. She couldn't fight this, she was pretty sure of that if nothing else.
"I'm not going to choose between the live's of anyone!" She took another step back. By this point she was standing right on the area Enjin had prevented people from passing. Mokuba's head jerked to the side as he saw her back foot sticking out from behind the corner, "I refuse!"
And then she turned and ran. Mokuba didn't seem to be moving. She reached out, planning on grabbing his wrist and yanking him along when she passed him. She wasn't even worrying about the fact her dress was hiking up here. She had no idea how fast she could go, but she wasn't just going to roll over and die for the man!

Akina was struggling to make his body move toward Kisa, but every muscle in his body was balking the thought. Even his own thoughts were balking it, and in the end, he hadn't moved any closer to Kisa.
"He's interfering with our thoughts! Tuning non-tangible concepts is hard for me!" Akina yelled back at Mokuba.
Enjin chuckled at Kisa's defiant look. She had gained quite the backbone. With each step back, Enjin took a step forward to maintain the distance. When Kisa finally turned and ran, Enjin dropped the interference and ran after her. No need to concentrate on the interference while he was chasing after her and Akina.
More interesting to Enjin was the long haired child, Mokuba. If he was Seto's brother... well, that could be useful.
Akina realized the interference had dropped when Kisa ran with Mokuba dragged behind her. And following her was Enjin... that was enough of a clue for Akina to run, too. He was in no condition to fight Enjin, not right now.

Mokuba glared at Akina. So in the end, he really was useless. He'd seen Enjin pull out that knife. He couldn't claim to know what that meant in the context off taking over her body, but he knew they were in way over their heads. He really wished his older brother was here, he was better at crap like this. When Kisa shot past him, he wasn't able to put up any fight towards her grabbing his wrist. The only reason he would have was surprise, anyhow. After a few almost trips and a lift by Kisa, he managed to get back to his feet. She let go of his wrist as soon as she was sure he was running.
The group was out in a shady looking market area within seconds. Quite a few people hopped to the side, and a few gave the group nasty glares. None of them interfered, and an unnaturally odd percentage seemed overly focused on anything but the chase scene. The reactions of that sort increased as Enjin came out. No one was going to interfere with the situation, that much was clear.
What made matters worse is none of them had any idea where they were going. Kisa had lucked into finding the group, she didn't know this place at all. When the group reached a crossroads of three paths, Kisa closed her eyes and shot down the left one. She had no idea where it went, but she knew she couldn't hesitate. She just knew she was going to get them lost... It was Mokuba that called her out on it, and ended up revealing the situation to Enjin.
"Do you even have any idea where you're going!?"

Unfortunately for the three of them, Enjin did know where he was going, having spent enough time working here since his arrival on the island. So when Mokuba yelled at Kisa, he gave a smirk and shot down a completely different alleyway, one that would bring him in front of the three of them soon enough.
Akina's eyes widened as Mokuba called Kisa out. "You mean you didn't know where you were going this whole time?!"
After a minute he looked back behind him and realized that Enjin wasn't following them anymore. He looked back toward Mokuba and Kisa. "Hey! I think we lost him!" Though for how long, Akina had no idea. He wasn't sure just how many of Gin's satori powers Enjin was capable of using.

Kisa looked back towards Akina as he shouted out his response to Mokuba's comment. Mokuba looked worried as she did so, as she completely wasn't watching where she was going. However, she came to a stop as Akina shouted out that they lost him. She put her hands on her knees and panted a few times before straightening up and walking towards Akina. Mokuba had gone ahead of her. He stopped when he was almost at Akina and looked at her. He seemed to be glaring, but he dropped it.
".....Are you okay?"
Kisa looked surprised for a moment but gave a sincere smile and nodded, "I am quite alright. Thank you very much..." she hesitated and looked around, "I don't think it's going to be so easy to get away.... I am very sorry I don't know the way out!"

Akina sighed and took a few steps toward Kisa as she apologized. "Come on, let's just calm down and look for a way out. I think if we keep going this way, we'll make it out eventually."
Or just end up in the middle of a shadier part of town, but Akina didn't want to think of that possibility. If they could get back into a more populated area of town, they could probably get away from Enjin. At the very least, he'd likely not attack them in public.
Enjin was lurking just behind the next turn. And now he just had to wait for them to approach.

"Are all adults this useless?" Mokuba stated. It seemed to be more from irritation than actual malice.
Kisa looked confused, "Oh, I'm fifteen... Did you think I was older?"
Mokuba scowled and looked away. He wasn't really mad at Kisa, he was just stressed out. The pre-teen was still trying to figure out what exactly had happened before. There had definently been something, but he didn't like Akina's explanation. And he didn't know how the others felt, but he didn't trust Enjin was really gone. He'd dealt with people like him before. Well, not exactly, but odds were he knew this area. That had felt way to easy.
Kisa looked in the direction they had been headed. This had been a very bad idea, coming out here. She had found Akina, but Enjin had found her... she put one hand over her left breast pocket and closed her eyes. She had to be confident she could defend herself if it came to that, but she still didn't know how to summon that dragon from before. It had sort of just happened because Seto had been in so much danger.
"Hey, earth to white-haired girl!" Mokuba stated.
"Oh-oh, sorry... Um, my name is Shiroi Kisa, pleased to meet you," she bowed first towards Mokuba, and then towards Akina, "We should go."
She turned and walked towards the corner. Mokuba shrugged and looked at Akina, waiting for him to go as well. Kisa would be turning the corner in a few moments...

Akina was a little surprised Kisa was only fifteen. She looked older to him... well, Hime was only sixteen. It wasn't implausible. He gave a smile as she finally introduced herself and then bowed. She really was a bit overly polite in Akina's honest opinion, but there wasn't anything wrong with that.
The moment Kisa turned the corner, Enjin grabbed her by the throat and pushed her into a wall, easily holding her slightly up off of the ground. He smirked.
"Not getting away this time," Enjin said coldly. His hands were sparking with electricity, and it was obvious he intended to tune Kisa's spirit so that he could enter her body.
"Kisa-chan!" Akina ran around the corner, where he glared at Enjin. Enjin only smirked at him.
"Well, well, Akina, look where your reluctance to listen has gotten you," Enjin allowed his hands to spark with a bit more electricity to emphasize how serious he was about things.

Kisa gasped as she was suddenly slammed into a wall and lifted off the ground. She winced and grabbed at Enjin's wrist, but the man had a rather iron grip. He was only allowing her to breath, and even that was constricted. Her eyes widened as his hands began to spark, and she tried to pull free. It wasn't working.
Mokuba had closed the bit of distance as Kisa had gasped. His eyes widened as he saw Enjin, and his mind blamed himself alone. He had known it was likely Enjin knew the area. He could have at least said something! He looked towards Akina with a worried expression, but the teenager seemed as trapped as he did. He looked back towards Enjin.
"Let her go, you bastard!"
Kisa winced at Mokuba's words. He really shouldn't talk like that. She looked back towards Enjin and grabbed his wrist again. She put her fingernails on his skin and clawed downwards, hoping to cause enough pain to force him to let her go. Her mind was only thinking of attempting to run if he dropped her. There was no recognition it would be in a way abandoning Akina and Mokuba... if it had occurred to her, she would have likely done something else.

Enjin only continued to smirk at Mokuba's reaction. "You're just a little boy, you can't do anything to save her." He looked toward the frozen Akina, and gave a wide grin. At that moment, Akina ran forward with his own hands sparking with electricity. It was obvious to Enjin that was just what Akina was planning, despite his reluctance to tune Gin.
Which was why when Akina ran forward, Enjin sent a large amount of tuning energy into Kisa's body. It would hurt, especially considering the entry point, and it would likely scar in the same manner Gin had when Enjin had done this to him. Akina froze in his tracks, and Enjin was giving what could only be a triumphant grin.
The problem was... the tuning wasn't forcing out her soul. It almost felt like he was having to tune two souls at once. There was some kind of large spiritual force obstructing him. A spiritual force as strong as the Seven Spiritual Sakura.... A spiritual force that Enjin, with his weak tuning abilities, couldn't penetrate.
Enjin winced and pulled Kisa away from the wall before throwing her at Akina. Akina was knocked down, and looked up at Enjin, who suddenly looked like he was in massive pain. The man winced and stepped back before running off at a speed much faster than any normal human could. Akina looked pained at that. Gin's super speed...
"K-Kisa-chan! Are you alright?" Akina clasped his hand around Kisa's. It was very likely that she was "off" from Enjin's attempt to tune her. At the very least, he could bring her back in tune.

It was a good thing for Enjin that looks couldn't kill. The eyes Mokuba glared at Enjin in response with out did many of his older brother's expressions. When he heard the footsteps he turned back, tripping over his own legs and hitting the ground as Akina ran past him. When Enjin put the massive amount of tuning energy into Kisa via her throat, her eyes widened and glazed over for half a second. No scream came out because she wasn't technically conscious. The skin around her throat burned, the burn growing to either side. Due to the thin skin there, the electric like burn even caused a few drops of blood to well up. And then Enjin pulled her back and therw her at Akina.
Mokuba's eyes widened as Kisa's body was thrown towards Akina. He kept part of his focus on Enjin as he ran over to her. She didn't seem unconscious necesarrily, her eyes were open. And they were coming back into focus as Enjin blurred as he ran off. Mokuba's eyes widened at that. Kisa began to twitch when Akina put his hand around her's. She winced as she pushed herself up with her free hand, letting go of Akina's and holding her throat. It felt like it was on fire, and stung like nobodies business. What... what had just happened?
"Hey, are you okay!?" Mokuba said. It wasn't like Kisa had responded yet...

Akina looked even more concerned as Kisa sat up and put her hand around her injured throat. He leaned forward and pulled Kisa's hand from her throat to examine the burn. He winced at it, and shook his head.
"He burned you bad." Akina gave another wince and looked back toward Kisa. "Can you talk?"

Kisa tensed up as Akina pulled her hand from her throat. She looked up, and it was clear she was still frightened. She had blacked out for a moment there, and she wasn't even sure why she was still here. Hadn't Enjin said he was going to take her body...? She winced just from swallowing and looked up at Mokuba. Even in her obvious condition, she forced a smile. She looked back at Akina after that, having heard his question. She frowned.
"It hurts...." she said, whispering despite the knowledge that it wouldn't do much for an injury on the outside of her throat, "What... happened?"
Mokuba looked back towards where Enjin had run for a moment, "He hit you with some electricity and then ran off..."

Akina gave another sympathetic wince as Kisa spoke. Well, of course it hurt. She'd just been shocked in the throat.
"I think he was trying to tune your spirit so he could take over your body, but for some reason he couldn't..." Akina said. "Enjin's tuning abilities aren't as strong as mine, maybe he wasn't strong enough to tune you for some reason."
Which didn't make much sense. Wasn't this girl just a normal human?
