((Meh, the show was never much of a stickler for historical detail.))
With Larry translating for everyone, Otto said, "Well, her business obviously must've picked up since then if she did end up starting her successful line." He then suggested,
"I say we just find our perp and whoop her back into her fancy shmancy fashion business," gruffed Tuddrussel.
However, Otto preferred a more peaceful solution. "Why don't we just talk to her? If I remember correctly, she was able to obtain funds to open another shop elsewhere, but I don't exactly remember the details..."

Miyako looked at Tuddrussel as he spoke. That seemed quite unnecessary, but she didn't say anything or even show she had been momentarily upset. In fact, the upset had faded quickly. It was true the man needed a shave but it was refreshing how into his job he was. The group had a very important job and from what she could tell this man seemed to be in charge, although it was possible he was in the same way Momoko claimed to lead Powerpuff Girls Z. She put her hand to her mouth and found herself giggling at the thoughts that Larry probably reacted to claims of being in charge the way Kaoru did to Momoko.
She nodded towards Otto and pointed at a street sign, "I am able to speak limited amounts of French, so perhaps I can try to speak to her. I am a fan of her designs and perhaps someone speaking as such would convince Chanel-sama to continue her career? I think her shop was located on that street. Shall we, desu wa~?"
(OOC: Ah yeah, I just made that up on the spot. I don't think her shop's actual location is known, but you said historical accuracy is fudged. Also, Miyako can speak a bit of Italian too, not that it matters. XD I wanked it figuring her parents are in Milano in at least most of canon.)

Otto smiled. "Right. Let's go then." He added as they went in the direction she pointed out, "Tell Miyako I said thanks," which Larry did.
They reached the closed down store in moments.

(OOC: Butchering of historical facts in 3... 2... 1...)
When they reached the shop, they would find a french woman arguing rather heatedly with two men. She was rather well dressed, she obviously was getting some decent money from somewhere. Her outfit was well coordinated, complete with a rather large hat that completed the look. She looked quite the lady and her somewhat curly hair was cut short. She had complete domination of the conversation and was speaking in French.
"I refuse to accept that merely because this shop has gone out of business that you are unable to assist me with my move. While it was going, I did very good business. Are you attempting to inform me that merely because I am a woman you refuse to help me?"
The men rolled her eyes at her. The woman got a grouchy look and took a step forward. That alone seemed to intimidate them, and they took several steps back. One sneered at her, and took a few more hurried steps back as she intensified her glare. Once he felt he was a safe distance, he spoke.
"It has nothing to do with your gender, madamoiselle. We merely see no reason to help a prostitute."
"Why you little...!" She took another angry step forward, and the situation seemed ready to self destruct rather dramatically...

"Now, let's calm down, everyone." Larry stepped in between them, addressing them in their native tongue. "There's no reason why we cannot act like civilized beings. Now... what is happening here that's causing so much emotion to flare up?"

The woman turned her head to Larry and blinked. She was not quite sure what had just addressed her, although it spoke in proper French. It quite frankly looked like something one might see at the World Fair. She let out a huff noise and all but stuck her nose in the air. She gave a point towards the two men.
"These barbarians refuse to assist me with my move. My shop has recently gone out of business and I am merely attempting to get moved. If you have been eavesdropping you are aware they are refusing to help me merely because of my perfectly legitimate profession!"
Miyako had watched the proceedings as they took place. She had only caught parts of the words, but enough to realize that the two men had called the woman a prostitute. She saw the woman react towards Larry, and it was then she decided to walk forward. The men looked ready to answer back, but just as the braver seeming of the two opened his mouth, Miyako spoke in somewhat forced French. The grammar was a bit off as well, actually.
"You mistress, correct? Coco are?"
The woman blinked in surprise at Miyako. She turned towards the girl and seemed to be sorting through what had been said. She then looked rather pleased with the situation. Actually, she looked a bit proud, going past the positive sense and into a bit arrogant. However, her response was polite enough.
"Goodness me, no one addresses me as such these days. You do seem a bit young to remember my club days. Who might you be and from where do you hail? Your French is a bit lacking, dear."
"Little girls should stay out of grown up business," scoffed one of the men.
(OOC: Everyone's speaking French. Miyako's way of speaking is because she isn't very good at it. XD)

"Oh, this is Miyako," Larry hastily explained. "She's from Japan."

Coco seemed a bit insulted at Larry's interupption, "I believe I asked the young lady. I am not even quite sure what you are, perhaps you should return to whatever World Fair project you escaped from?"
"Hey, were were talking to her first!" One of the men said loudly.
Miyako winced a bit as Coco insulted Larry. She'd heard things about how Coco was a strong woman. She'd even heard things about how she was... a bit arrogant. But Miyako had always thought that was a result of a woman in her field of her era. Now... it was looking a bit different. Miyako bowed several times, causing the woman to look back at her with a raised eyebrow.
"I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry, ~desu wa."
Coco blinked, "De..Dehsue what?"
Miyako blinked, "I am sorry! Is Nihongo!"
While some of the Island effects had seemed to follow the group, perhaps due to the location of the time machine itself, Miyako was making a point of speaking in French. As such, words that weren't French weren't coming out well. Larry would realize "Nihongo" meant "Japanese", but no one else word. Coco seemed rather annoyed at the situation at hand. She crossed her arms and let out a sigh.
"I do not have time to waste on children, one who clearly can not speak the language of this land, men who wouldn't know fashion if it hit them upside the head, and some science project. If you have no intentions of helping these men move me, then I request that you leave my presence," she turned to the men, and then muttered something the group would be hardpressed to hear, "The help I was supposed to get sure is late... I may be forced to aquire that rundown shop near here..."
(OOC: Children = Otto and Miyako. Men lacking fashion sense = Tuddrussel. Scient Project = Larry.)

((I HATE MAKING COMPLEX POSTS ON MY PHONE!! [sob] ))
Otto didn't know how, but he was somehow able to pick up quite a bit of what the Frenchpeople were saying. It may have had something to do with their frequently used time travel equipment on the island; this was their first mission to a foreign country since they were stuck on the island. In any case, he could tell that something was definately wrong. Then again, if that weren't the case, they wouldn't have even been thre in the first place.
Larry was managing to remain patient with the Frenchwoman; Tuddrussel wasn't doing quite as well. "Did she just insult my Time Squad issue officer's uniform?" he growled softly.
"Calm down, Tuddrussel, Larry hissed, "I think we've caused enough of a scene already."
"Something's not right," Otto whispered to his teammates. "Ms. Chanel should have met with her old friend Boy Capel by now."

Miyako tilted her head a bit as Coco criticized them. She couldn't quite make out what was being said, she was missing a solid quarter of it. She looked over at Tuddrussel as he growled and gave a quick bow towards Coco before running over to the group. She heard Otto speaking about the problems.
"Does that perhaps mean that is what has gone wrong with the timeline? Perhaps we should be looking into that? I think Chanel-sama is quite stressed and unwilling to communicate with us more..."
Coco shook her head as Miyako walked away and turned back to the men. She crossed her arms as she continued the interrupted argument, "All members of your gender are completely useless! If you refuse to help me, then leave! I do not have to stand around and be insulted for a perfectly legitimate profession!"

Otto looked back at the angry Chanel and back at his two teammates and the Asian girl. "You're probably right. She... probably needs a little time alone for the moment," he added awkwardly.
Minutes later, the four time travelers arrived at the local train station. Upon meeting with the employees there, Larry told them they were waiting for a friend coming on a train they then claimed was running unusually late.
"Pardon, messieurs," said the man at the ticket booth, "but we have seen no sign of that passenger train. It was supposed to arrive over half of an hour ago."
Otto understood enough. He snapped his fingers saying to his fellow time travelers, "So that's what happened. Something prevented Boy Capel's train from arriving in Paris, so he never arrived to help Ms. Chanel, so she was never able to set up her next shop."

Miyako continued to have trouble understanding. She stood there, looking rather blank for a few moments, before her eyes widened and she seemed to comprehend. By this time Otto had already said half of what he was saying. She thought for a moment and then looked a bit depressed.
"If the train was detained, will it be possible to find it? It may be quite a ways out, and we have no way to reach it..."

"Now, calm down, little missy," Tuddrussel piped up. "All we gotta do is get a car and drive along the tracks it was supposed to show up on till we find somethin'."
"I'll be doing the driving," The robot gave his officer the evil eye. "...after what happened last time you drove the visited era's rental..."
"Alright, alright," he grumbled. "Don't get your wires in a knot."
"Great," Otto grinned. "Now, if my memory of the Paris map in the 1910 Atlas is correct, the nearest auto rental is... this way!" He scampered off in the direction he was pointing just a moment ago. Seeing he'd run off, the other two seasoned time travelers leisurely followed.

Miyako looked worried as Tuddrussel gave his proposed plan. Driving on the train tracks did not seem a wise idea. If the train was simply running late... She thought for a moment (and looked absentminded) as Otto, Larry, and Tuddrussel spoke. If they did run into trouble on the tracks...
"Excuse me, desu~! Perhaps someone should remain at the shop Chanel-sama is at in case something changes? I would be glad to keep an eye there if it is not an inconvenience."
