Alex took notice of the decorations himself. "Wow... It's that time of year already? Man how time flies." He chuckles at Rulett. "Ya see Rulett, the decorations there are a good sign that Christmas is drawing closer."
He likely noted her confused look. "You see Rulett, there are many explanations to justify the holiday goodness that is Christmas. But the most prevalent explanation is simply this; Many thousands of years ago, before the creation of the modern day calender, there was a very special birth. This birth you see, was believed by many to be the birth of a Human diety onto the planet. This is further believed, since the baby was born of a virgin mother. That's basically the equivalent of making a baby without producing genetic material into buckets for the Troll Matriarch.
"While the baby was alive, he grew up to become a very popular prophet by the name of Jesus of Nazarene. While people STILL argue whether or not Jesus WAS the birth of a human deity, many others applaud Jesus for his optimistic views, his good points, and the lessons he's taught people in history. Christmas, you see, started as a celebration of Jesus' birth. But since the dawn of the modern era, people have helped to 'evolve' Christmas, if you will, into a holiday, even season, of good will. 'Peace on Earth, good will to your fellow men' if you will." He chuckled. "It's also a season of giving. During Christmas, families come together to exchange gifts between each other. That is why Christmas is my FAVORITE time of the year. It's the time where I can not only see my family, no matter how spread apart they are, but also the time they can give gifts. "

She blushes brightly at the mention of buckets, but she listens closely to him.
"That sounds squeak nice, Alex."
She thinks about the object she has in her bag and smiles softly. She had originally got it as a little thank-you present, but this seems to be a better excuse to give it to him. At least it has the same sentiment behind it. She smiles cutely at him, rocking on her heels a bit.
"Do you celebrate it?"

There was a wide giddy grin on his face. "Are you kidding?? Of course I do!" He blushed a bit. "Well granted I hadn't had the chance to celebrate it recently... You know, because of Sburb and all that..." He looks around a second before he see's a stand selling Santa Clause hats. "But hey! It'd be great if I could get back into the Christmas spirit after all this time." He held up his index finger. "Hold on a second."
He rushed over to the stand, and talked with the owner a moment. After a bit, he gave her some money picked up a hat from the selection and slapped it onto his head. The Santa hat dangling behind him like a God-Tier hood, he walked back over to Rulett with a grin. "Whatcha think? This is supposed to be in the spirit of Christmas."

She blushes a bit more, leaning forward and kissing him gently.
"I think it looks squeak cute!~ And I would love to celebrate it with you, Alex!"
She tilts her head, pointing at the Starbucks, confused.
"What is that squeak place?"
Her stomach growls softly, causing her to blush even more.

He took notice of the store that Rulett was pointing to, rubbing his chin. "Oh that place?" He shrugged to the question. "That's Starbucks. The place serves some of the best coffee and Icees you'll ever find... I wouldn't know though, I don't frequent the place myself." He shrugged. "See, Coffee, I think, is for people that need a bit of caffeine in their lives to help them up. Caffeine you see, is a special stimulant in drinks that provides energy for the body keeping people awake for longer periods of time... Plus from what I heard, the stuff just tastes bitter. My family drinks that stuff, I'll just stick with my soda."

She smiles at him, then looks around, seeing a wide variety of stores that seemed to sell food. Her stomach growls again, louder this time, and she blushes green all over her face. She looks at him, rubbing the back of her head.
"Alex, where is a squeak good place to get something to eat? I'm kind of hungry."

Looking around a moment, he took notice of the Food Court not too far off. He smiled a bit, "Those places over there are the most ideal." He looked to the girl. "Come on. Let's go check it out."
Upon arriving in the food court, Alex and Rulett found themselves surrounded by all kinds of choices to eat. An Italian eatery, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Chick-fill-a, there was a a 'Daily News Center' place where one could buy Soda or sweets, and of course, there was the always popular baked goods place where one could buy over-sized cookies, Icee's, or other kinds of baked goods.
"Here we are Rulett. Nirvahna for the hungry traveler." He grinned at his word choice. "Just pick the place you wanna get food from and we'll go there."

Rulett quickly grabs his hand and rushes off to the baked goods place. She looks around, drooling a bit at the sights and smells. Baked sweets were always something she enjoyed, but it was always so hard to come across where she comes from. She looks up at him with a pleading expression, wiping away some of her drool and blushing green in embarrassment.
"I like squeak baked goods."

Alex was taken by surprise at this really sudden trip, as Rulett literally dragged him over to the baked goods store. Her cute little proclomation along with her cute blushing face, cemented this obvious favor. He was a bit questionable about getting her sweets before a real meal... But he supposed this one time wouldn't hurt.
"Well... Okay. I suppose we can eat here..." He shrugged a bit. "We should probably get some real food too, but... Okay." He shrugged a bit. "Anything for you, cutie."
He looked among the selection. Ah the traditional Icee's. How long had it been since he had one of these? Felt like a lifetime ago... And of course those big cookie things... He had never had one of those before but-
...................
GLAZED DONUTS... OH GOD ALEX WAS IN HEAVEN. Rulett likely noted Alex's dazed look when he saw said donuts.

She sees Alex's expression and smiles. She orders a couple of sugar cookies and a few glazed donuts. She giggles and holds up her purchase, blushing softly.
"You like them, right?"

Alex took the donuts with what could be considered reverence in a few ways, and looked to Rulett with wide eyes. "..... I love you Rulett. I really do..."
One could tell that he meant that with a joking tone, considering how thankful he was for buying the donuts, but still, given how long it's been since he had a glazed donut, he also meant that very much...
"Let's get something else to make this a meal then find a place to sit.... And let's make it quick... I want to eat these so much right now..."

She looks around and points at the one with the shortest line. She was curious about the red and white sign, as well as the way the letter looks like a cluckbeast...sort of.
"What about that squeak place?"

Alex smiled as he was snapped out his Sugar based daze, and took notice of where Rulett was pointing. "Oh! Chick-Fil-A?" He chuckled a bit. "That place is famous for it's chicken." As he said this, he captchalogued the donuts, and approached the Chick-Fil-A line with Rulett in tow. "Should be a good experience for ya. Anyways, let's get some food shall we?"
-------------------------------------------
After a few orders were passed around; Alex and Rulett had their food collected, and soon found themselves sitting at a table among the many tables that was already taken by people of various kinds and species. Alex wasted no time once they were sat down, and proceeded to eat his chicken, saving the donuts for desert.

Rulett had ordered three chicken sandwiches, but she was already on her second one. She tries her best to eat this one slowly so she could get the taste of it.
She glances up at Alex, blushing softly. She makes sure to swallow what she has in her mouth before talking.
"So what do you want for Christmas, Alex?"

The question caught Alex's attention as he ate his Chicken Strips. After a moment, he considered this question, his mind going over his list of things... After a moment, however, a thought struck him... He smiled to Rulett. "Ya know Rulett... I'll be honest with ya."
He chuckled a bit. "There are a few things I wish I could have for Christmas. A selection of books, and games... But, I think... What I want most this Christmas, that is, if I had known about it before hand, would be to..." He sighed with a blush. "Spend it with someone. You know... Someone I'm close to... I already told you that... I used to spend Christmas with my family... You know, before Sburb..."
He didn't have to finish. The message was clear.
If Rulett hadn't come along, he would've had to spen Christmas all alone.
