She stares in shock. She carefully takes the book and opens it, looking at the first page. She giggles a bit, trying her best not to laugh. She thinks for a bit, then decides to buy the curious thing to read later on. She gently kisses him, blushing softly.
"I'll be right back, love.~"
She then heads off to buy the book, waiting in the somewhat long line. This would probably give Alex some time to himself, if he wanted it.

Alex's oppinion on being left alone right then and there was notably quite low. Being reminded of the game that brought a violent end to your normal life and the life of your family couldn't have been good for him. Still, he handled it better then most people would think, shaking it off simply....
But despite that, he seemed to have a feeling of morbid curiosity in his being... What was the significance of that book having the Sburb name in it? Was it a novelization of some kind?
You don't know... But something about it smells quite suspicious...

Rulett returns with the book in a bag. She can see that something is on his mind, and this makes her want to cheer him up. She hugs him kindly, somewhat tightly, looking up at him with her forest green eyes.
"Alex...is there anything I can do to help you feel better?"

Alex looked to see Rulett walk back up to him, as he snapped out of his daze. There was so much he could have said to respond to this, but he didn't say much of anything else. Just her being there helped quite a bit more then she likely knew.
"Nah. I'll be fine... Thanks Rulett."
As he said that, he took a look around, and found a few more books as he looked back to the troll. "Remind me to take a closer look at that book of yours when we get back to the apartment complex. That thing needs to be looked over I think."

She nods, slowly letting go of him. She gives him a small kiss and then gently takes his hand, blushing a bit.
"Should we head home, then? Or...do you want to...go somewhere else, first?"
She softly squeezes his hand, turning to him with a kind smile.
"Either way, I'm alright with what you want to do..."

Alex thought about this a few moments, before he let out a sigh. "Well, we've got all the stuff we need I suppose. Clothes, shoes, a few new books and movies... Oh!"
He looked to Rulett with a shrug. "We should probably get some stuff at the general store. Restock my fridge and freezer. Considering your apparent lack of nourishment till recently, it might be necessary."

Rulett giggles, hugging his arm gently, making sure not to poke him with her horn.
"I think that's a good idea, Alex. Just one question..."
As they left the mall behind them, her words drifted off on the breeze.
"...what's a 'general store'...?"
