"Why do you keep that Chomp as a pet? That's like owning a Snarbolax!" she offered.

"Aww, he doesn't hurt nobody," Ed smiled a lazy smiled. "If he does, I whack him." A few of the beach goers laughed a bit hearing Ed's claim, but Danny just kept himself quiet as he put down their drinks. "There you are," the plant-like man smiled.

By this point, it probably surprised no one that Toby had nothing to say to that. He simply accepted his drink with a soft "Thank you" and started sipping it quietly, not once looking up at those around him.

"If you say so, kid. And thank you for the drink sir," she offered before putting the straw to her lips and drinking.

Danny watched them. "I know Ed's story- he's become a regular face here," the yellow man offered. "But what about you two? Anything of interest you want to tell me?"
A Girl in what seemed to be a sailor uniform eyed the group a moment, but went right back to taking a bite from a dish of ice cream she had ordered.

Toby pulled away from his juice and quickly shook his head. "Uh, no, not really, no..." Then he stuck the straw back in his mouth and continued his awkward drinking, eyes still down.

"Just a lost Isoran from Haven. I've faced down monsters 10 times my size alone in the Clockworks," she offered as she sipped her drink.

"Never heard of these Clockworks," Danny offered, shining a glass as he watched her. "What's it like?"

Toby kept his silence up, though he did turn slightly to look at and listen to Victoria with courtesy and curiosity.

"It's this large underground complex with 26 or 27 depths. And no two trips down are a like," she offered.

"A world that changes its layout every trip," he thought aloud. "I've heard of lands like that, but haven't seen any for myself. Those kinds of worlds can get dangerous, though."

Toby nodded in agreement, half-consciously stirring his drink with his straw.

Victoria nodded. "You can make a fortune in the trips down, face untold horrors or find a peaceful paradise some times," the Isoran gave a soft smile as she smiled.

"Endless riches, boundless dangers... Heh, sounds like my world in a way, he offered.
Ed pouted. "Wish my world was that cool," he sighed.

Toby awkwardly inhaled through gritted teeth before taking another sip of juice. He wouldn't say it out loud out of respect –or perhaps just continued shyness– but after everything he had been through, he could not agree less with Ed.
