He noted Ruby looking at him, taking him in like how he imagined all little sisters did when first meeting the dates of their older siblings. If she wanted to intimidate him however, she'd have to try a bit harder then that. "Hey there kiddo. Nice to finally meet Yang's little sis." He smiled to her simply, waving. "She's told me a lot about you." And she shows up in an eyepatch, not quite the same sweet girl he once had seen...
He held out a hand as Yang helped Ruby get the Eyepatch on. "Pleased to meet ya~." Even from where he sat, watching Yang put on the eyepatch was tough to watch... Someone had done this to her baby sister and she had been nowhere near by to even attempt to stop anything... It was heart-rending watching her do her best to adjust to the burns on Ruby's face.

Ruby gave a smirk similar to Yang's own. "Harm my sister and you'll meet the business end of Crescent," she offered trying to be intimidating.
"I'm assuming Todd didn't tell you about what happened a few weeks ago did he?" Yang asked as she finished adjusting Ruby's eyepatch. "And I think Alex would win that fight even with you using your speed." Yang quickly added. "He can go toe to toe with me, and live."

Alex laughed a bit. "Awwww, Yang, don't crush the kid's image~. I'd say she has a fair chance if she wanted to take me on." The two girls looked at him oddly. "Though honestly, I think it'd be rather hard for me to fight this cutie pie. I still remember some of the stories you told me about her~." He would've likely winked at Yang if he felt he could get away with it in front of Ruby. But since this one was slightly older and wiser, he didn't. With a chuckle, he stretched a bit and got up from his seat.
He couldn't help but take in Ruby with her eyepatch... Honestly, even then it still hurt to see it. The eyepatch covered the worst of it, but implied that something lay just underneath. The lazy smile on his face was notable as he shrugged. "Still... Change can be tough... If you have any questions, you don't need to threaten them out of me kiddo~."

"Then call me Ruby and not kiddo," Ruby offered. "Yang I know you prefer being on my right...."
"So.... Um... How are you going to contact Weiss and Blake?" Yang asked as she came to stand with Alex. She was trying to hint at the one elephant in the room.
Ruby's own scroll was starting to buzz and play music like no tomorrow. It seemed that Yang's messages finally hit one target.
"How many messages did you send to Ruby's number?" Todd asked with a raised eyebrow.
"A few thousand... 3 or 4 messages a day. 5 on days I found things I thought she'd like. Only times I didn't send messages is when I was sleeping or during The Fog.... Or recently when with Alex our of respect... Though I did send a candid shot of him and Lizzie..." Yang admitted.

Yeeaaaaaah, he supposed that Ruby taking offense to a 'kiddo' nickname should've been obvious... "Hehehe... Right... Sorry."
The messages followed soon after, with Alex going wide-eyed at the sheer amount of music and tones Ruby's Scroll was getting. Seriously, 2 years worth of messages? With up to 5 messages per day, not counting October-?? CHRIST-... He sucked at math sometimes, but he didn't need to be GOOD AT IT to know that that was a SHIT-LOAD OF MESSAGES. "UH... WOW..." He couldn't help but laugh helplessly at this turn of events. "Well... At least you'll have plenty of messages to go through... You and your sister can catch up with just about everything up to the present."
He tried for a neighborly smile. "Anyway, Ruby." He ephasized the name to show seriousness. "If you have any concerns, just ask alright? You don't need to threaten me for it. Promise." He took note that Yang said that her most recent message had a candid shot of himself and Lizzie. Hmmm, color him curious.

"Little heavy on the messages- Ruby started before her scroll just died. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Yang was slightly mortified as Ruby's scroll died. She held in a laugh with what she had seen last night. She gave a sigh. "Interdimensional travel does that. It just needs charged," Yang offered as hers started going off with messages from Ruby. "Missing yous?"
"One every night. A summary of what happened that day," Ruby replied. "Though I did miss a few due to the accident..."
Yang hugged her sister close again. "Yang... Little tight..."

Alex decided to hang back once more as the two continued catching up on old times. They needed this time to get reacquainted.
... Meh, he spoke his peace anyway and Ruby's oppinion appeared to still be being processed. All he could do was rejoin Todd and sit down at the table with him. "Let's let them talk a bit... Sooo uh... Todd... Got anything for breakfast here? Yang wanted to hurry back here so we haven't had anything to eat yet."

"Yeah. You do know I have to lecture you for keeping Yang out all night right?" Todd offered as the two girls chatted and caught up.
Yang was hiding the pain and guilt she felt for Ruby's injury but she was happy to see and hear her sister again as she plugged Ruby's scroll in to a charger. "So you saw what just happened. Blake and Weiss aren't going to get your messages... I've been trying to find a way home and well it's evident I'm still here..." she offered.
"They know I went looking for you again. I sent them a message before coming here," Ruby offered with a weak smile.

Alex sweatdropped a little bit at Todd's statement, drinking a bit more of his soda. "HAhahahahaha...... If it helps literally ANYTHING AT ALL, Yang did think she sent you a message. In fact, that message is still on her scroll. She just forgot to hit send." He chuckled a bit, remembering Yang's cute expression when the realization of such an embarrassing blunder came to her. "Plus, if she hadn't told me she was sending you a message, I would've gladly sent you one myself to let you know." That was true, Alex had proven to be pretty good with keeping track of messages.
....... Still...
Alex sweatdropped a bit more at Todd's narrowed gaze at the excuse. "Also if it helps literally ANYTHING else, Yang had a great time last night." He lowered his head, smiling and blushing slightly. "Plus... I think it's... KIND OF OFFICIAL that we're going out now-? We definitely got to bond a little bit during our marathon watching of the Star Wars movies." That's right, don't imply anything. A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell... Though it likely helped nothing that he brought that up in the hopes that the romantic in Todd would prompt him to back down.

"Even though it is official. I still have to lecture you. Just because Yang is family to me. Pancakes or waffles?" Todd offered as the girls continued to chat.

.................
Alex grimaced and stuck out his tongue, looking less then amused that literally nothing he said was able to convince Todd out of a lecturing. With a groan he planted his head on the table, chin down, nose obscured by crossed arms... ".... WAFFLES IS GOOD..." Yeah, he was definitely not having fun now...
Good bye good mood from earlier today.
You will be sorely missed.

Todd snickered. "You don't know how I lecture do you?" Todd offered. "Plain or some sort of mix in?"

Alex grumbled somewhat, rolling his eyes. "Plain. And forgive me if, when you say you're going to lecture me, the first thing I think about is the lectures I got as a kid from my parents..." Yang and Ruby were reading each others messages now, stopping every now and again because Yang just got too overwhelmed and had to hug it out with Ruby...
Needless to say it happened frequently.
The sight calmed him down and let him smile a bit more... At least Todd's words let him calm down a little more before that.
"I guess you're not going to be as bad as all that?"

Todd nodded. "Next time if Yang says she's going to send a message, send one as back up just to be safe. Okay. End of lecture," Todd offered as he started working on Alex's waffles. "How many do you want?"
The girls were having another hugging session.

Well... At least Todd understood him... Maybe this meant Erin was a bit more like him then he thought. A simple soul that didn't appreciate being treated like a child.....
He chuckled at the girls as they continued talking, holding each other, just generally being adorable sisters. It was truly cute~... It made him happy seeing Yang so happy like that. Getting her sister back had just made her day all the better... He almost hoped that he could be a part of that one day...
"Two. Two is fine."
---------------------------------
Several hours passed...
"-this point I'm not sure what we're waiting for anymore..." Alex took a big gulp of his glass of milk. "We already have so many answers and it looks like Beth's calmed herself down... I'm still hoping we'll drop this nonsense at some point... I know I don't want to go through the game again..." He put down the cup, looking at his bruised hands.
"... I mean, come now, you remember what your game was like. You know what Sburb tends to be, how ridiculous it gets. If we could somehow start up the game again, we have no guarantees that it won't just summon a shit-ton of meteors and flatten Dimensional Island Whole-sale... And THAT WOULD BE IF IT WAS LUCKY. At least Meteors would be quick..."
