Ruby smiled. "Correct. Though I have thought I went over board slightly.... just with the scale," she offered. "What weapons do you and Todd use?"
Yang looked to Todd as the Blood player took out a stringed instrument that looked charred and carved into a screaming skull with a small mini scythe to glide across the strings.
"Mine is rather unconventional. I fight with a viola," he offered. "And I'm quite the musician when it's not in fight mode."
"He plays funeral music," Yang offered.
"I DO NOT!" Todd called back. This seemed to be a typical fight between the roommates.

"Well... My weapons are pretty unconventional too." He pulls out a void portal and, from it, a peculiar weapon appears with Alex grabbing the end. In length it was about half as long as Alex was tall, a staff with a broad end similar in shape to a racket or oar, decorated like a crescent moon with metallic edgings around it. IT was actually fascinating looking at it since it seemed like a club based off a tennis racket, but... EXPANDED UPON. "Originally I wanted to fought with boestaffs. But then I accidentally prototyped a tennis racket with my Strife modus and-" He notes Ruby's look. "Well, putting it VERY simply. I can only fight effectively and get stronger for it if I fight with weapons shaped like tennis rackets. However, such a thing wasn't unheard of in a certain favorite video game of mine, so I decided to roll with it as opposed to change it." HE chuckled as he gave the racket a practice swing. "This baby here is known as the Dream Catcher, also known as the Grand Slam."He handed the racket to Ruby for her to look at. "Though this is just ONE of the rackets I have on hand, it IS my strongest. What do you think?[REFERENCE PICS FOR DREAMCATCHER AND GRAND SLAM:

Ruby blinked. "Yours makes more sense than Todd's. And could double as an ax," Ruby offered as she went to accept Dream Catcher and examine it.
Todd gave an offended look as he pouted.

"... Hmmm... I guess that full-moon design does look slightly bladed... Interesting how I never thought of that..." Alex said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. He'd have to keep that in mind the next time he was in a fight, see how well a use like that worked out. Still as he thought that out, Ruby continued examining his racket. He then noticed however how Yang was giving the weapon a slight eye as well. He supposed that made sense. It had barely been about a month or so ago when she saw several hundred similar weapons getting used on her in a fight...
During the insanity last October...
This must've been the closest look Yang had gotten at the weapons Alex himself fought with. It was curious actually. How many of those weapons did he carry on his person? She would've been forgiven for thinking he carried hundreds at LEAST.

Yang scooted away from the shown racket. "Alex.... how many of those things do you own?" she asked.
It took a bit for Ruby to put the pieces together as to why Yang would be scooting from the weapon. "I think you'd do well in Remnant with these and your abilities," she offered as she passed Dream Catcher back to Alex.
Todd quietly watched the trio. 'Odd man out as always...' he thought as he plucked a few strings.

Alex looked a little uncomfortable at the question, but let out a sigh regardless to answer. "I uh... Actually own 39 different rackets." 39?!?!? He shrugged a bit, looking a bit uncomfortable. "Thanks to my large number one of my fray-motifs, or one of my special attacks, 'the Armament Almagest', can have plenty of weapons to use." He notes Ruby's look at the attack name. "Okay so."
He gets up and forms two void portals in front of him. "Imagine there are TONS of void portals just like these all around you. Now imagine a large number of them started doing this." one void portal QUITE VIOLENTLY shot out another racket only for the other one to catch it. "What you get is a chaotic move that can do a pretty big deal in whittling down tough armor or just enemies with high amounts of stamina. Yang here was pretty tough though, she used her aura to easily survive the attack and blast the rackets back along with their void portals, effectively canceling out the attack."
... HE HAD 39 DIFFERENT RACKETS. ..... 39. JESUS CHRIST DID THIS GUY JUST CRAFT THESE THINGS RANDOMLY IN HIS OFF TIME?

Ruby nodded and then looked to her sister with a look of 'ARE YOU INSANE?!?!?' etched in her face.
"Nope. Again I dealt what I was given, Rubles. Harder he hit, the stronger my hits got," Yang offered as she looked to Todd who was still just plucking at the strings on his weapon.

Alex decided to leave out the part where that strength was sapped out. "Now, I know what you're thinking... Why that many?" ..... He looks down. "I uh... Kinda got a bit vengeful at the game when one of it's monsters killed my mom and sister... In the end though, it turned out that the more weapons I had, the more effective Armament Almagest became. So I kept em rather then mixing them together to make something new and better."
He shrugs a bit at any potential look. "Sides. I crafted all of em, so... what good would I be doing getting rid of them?" It likely struck Todd somewhat...
Did Erin have 39 rackets as well-?

"You used that a lot then during our fight," Yang noted.
'Note to self... Ask Erin about her armory later,' Todd thought as he listened.
"So what can you do Todd?" Ruby asked.
Todd blinked. "My thing isn't as cool as Alex's. Trust me..." he offered in a defeated tone.

Alex looked at Todd oddly as well... After all, Beth had both Crystal and SwordKind strife specibi. He had never even HEARD of a music based Strife Specibi short of Pieter's Tuba MUTEKIND. And even then THAT MADE SENSE since the mutes could be used like clubs. "Actually that's a very good question. Beth at least had SWORDKIND. What can a VIOLAKIND do in a fight?"

Todd sighed and plucked a few chords. "ViolaKind is a reinforced instrument weapon type that uses sound as a weapon. And yes I do have heavier ones that I have chucked at Vitt for some rather jerkish jokes. I have 6 different ones and all fit in the case behind the couch when not in my Strife Deck. And just to cover base- no I can not pull anything like what Alex can. That is strictly a Void thing," he offered. "I can use the bows as if they are swords. And occassionally I do wield a blade of red crystal."
Yang held up one of these said blades.
Ruby blinked. "You used blades made of crystal dust?!?!?" she asked as she looked to it.
Todd wasn't sure of how to answer 'No... That's crystallized blood.... My own....' with out freaking out the youngest in the room.

Alex was quicker then others to figure out what the crystal sword was made of. After all, Beth had pulled a similar trick herself a number of times. "LET'S UH... Not dwell on that... And besides, even if the Violakind seems wierd, I'm sure it was pretty neat in some way. I mean, I'm a fan of music myself, so..." He looked to Todd a moment... "It could be neat seeing your music fighting up against some practical opponents."
Well, he certainly believed he had steered the conversation away from the swords for now. Which was a good thing. The man let out a breath and leaned back in his seat on the couch. "Well... Whatever the case.. I kinda feel a little tired. Must be due to being up so late last night... so maybe a little nap wouldn't be too out of the question..." A moment later, he kicked up the foot rest built into the couch and lay back, starting to relax.

"Alright if it isn't flare Dust then what is it? The reaction tells me it's something else," Ruby offered sounding serious as she accepted the blade from Yang. "It's surprisingly balanced for a something so awkwardly shaped."
"That blade is Sangirite. Or crystallized blood. My own. I wouldn't use anyone else's blood for these blades. They're the result of one of my attacks- In My Blood. It's not as neat or tidy as Alex's Armament but it is good for a large attack," Todd offered.

.... Alex rolled his eyes from his seated position. "Alright... I guess that was your thing to reveal if you wanted..." He had misdirected the conversation in case Todd had wanted to avoid the topic but.... At Ruby's look, the god-tier shrugged. "Don't worry. In the game we played to get this far, there apparently exists players that have 'blood' in itself as an aspect and power. As a Witch of Blood-.... Actually you know what? No. Let's go with Warlock of Blood since Witch is a more feminine title~." He chuckled as he continued. "As a warlock of blood Todd is a master of manipulating his blood in such fashions... Though as I recall, when a girl I knew named Beth got these powers, she had to visit my mother, a nurse, fairly often until she got the hang of it."
He pushed the back of his seat backwards some more to get comfy. Noting Yang's look, he patted his chest, as if offering a place to get comfy if she wished, a flirty smirk on his face.

Todd nodded. "I visited Erin's father many times... And got lectured for blood loss and blacking out so many times that I have the thing memorized. Also I like the title you came up with Alex," he offered as Yang rested her head on Alex's chest.
Ruby's gaze looked down at the blade then to Todd before she dropped it and gave a disgusted look.
Todd sighed and rolled his eyes. "Blood players can also manipulate the bonds between people by strengthening or breaking them," Todd offered. "Like how you kept your team together after Yang disappeared." Ruby inched away from the musician. Todd looked slightly insulted.
