Thanks in large part to a medipack that Alex had forgotten he packed from his old house in the game, he had found a quick and convenient way to keep himself stocked on ice without needing to melt down all of the cold foods in Todd's freezer. With the Ice Pack, he at least had a means of carrying around a renewable source of cold to keep on his black eye.
The rest of the day following his arrival at the hotel had been a relatively uneventful one thank god. He had received at least one message from Lizzie and Ryan concerning where he was, but he only needed to explain that he had been visiting Yang to get an understanding answer out of them. Judging by Ryan's surprised reaction though, it was plain as day that he had not been expecting to hear Yang's name in conjunction to '---- is in a relationship with Alex'. Watching his reaction was almost glorious.
The next day following, which he had spent with Yang, Weiss and Ruby in Todd's apartment, had been met with him managing to get a great deal of his strength back and to the sight of Ruby fretting over the Calendar. After all, it was now December and there was a lot to do if they wanted to prepare for the holiday season. As she did that, Alex himself focused on the group chat where he chatted with Evan and the others, the former of which was happy to have Swift back... Still when his attention was called off of his scroll and back to reality, it was by Ruby, insisting that shopping would have to be done for Christmas decorations to decorate the place for Todd and Beth's eventual return.
-------------------------
Which is what brought them back here, to the biggest shopping center on the island. El-Grande Mall was just as warm and welcoming as it had always been... Even with the weather growing even colder as time went on. He wouldn't have been surprised if a light snowfall took place at some point in the future. It would've certainly been a welcome sight after the continuous dead landscapes of LOAAC And the continuously bright, sunny and green grasslands within the dream bubbles.
"Welp here we are again." The thief said with a small sigh, well rested, an icepack almost serving like an eye patch over his black eye, and holding Yang's hand as the two approached. Yes, he remembered it well. Almost three weeks ago, they had come to this location on a mission to buy new clothes for the Thief. During which, they grew closer together and officially started dating. Then night fell and they started a Star Wars Movie Marathon back at Alex's place. A marathon that took another two nights to complete both because of Ruby suddenly appearing and because of the two often just... SIMPLY found other things to do with their time.
Still after all that time and here they were, back again, shopping for decorations and.... Well, PERHAPS gifts.
"Feels nice coming back here after all the craziness that took place before... Like I'm taking a step back to just breathe in the fresh winter air and remember what real life is like." He noted Yang's look. "Life may not be typical around me, but that doesn't stop me from wishing it COULD be sometimes..." Which made sense, considering his confrontation against Swift yesterday.

Yang nodded. "And the disappearing act isn't typical either from what I understand," she happily teased as she pulled him into a close hug. "I'm surprised that your aura hasn't healed up your shinier yet."
Ruby happily walked along taking in the sights and smells of the Christmas season. "Where do we being? So many things to see, so many places to go in, and so many possibilities for great gifts for others~," Ruby offered in an excited tone. If one didn't know Ruby, they might have thought she might have had a whole pot of coffee.
Weiss took a deep breath. Finally a place where she could shine and possibly make connection. "Well considering this is my first time here, I'd like to explore," she noticed the look from Alex. "Todd put me on Ruby and Yang watch while he was with Miss Snider and Evelyn. Yang didn't want to leave the pair of rooms so we were stuck at home."
Another figure seemed to unlock a shop a little ways up the main drag.

Alex couldn't help but chuckle at poor Weiss. Good thing she was already quite used to dealing with these two, otherwise he could only imagine the migraines of dealing with a worried Yang and Ruby. They had a lot to be worried about after all; even if he had come back, that still left the matter of Evelyn and Beth... Well... At least Erin was there with them, her presence alone would've been enough to mask the hospital.
Still, he could be concerned about this some other time.
"You should've felt how hard Swift could punch after two days of stewing in her own anger in my void modus... Even WITH a barrier in place, IT HURT." he lets out a breath slightly out of relief and slightly to relax himself. "But yeah, that's all done for now... I'm sure my aura will get it all fixed up soon enough. I just need to keep the ice up is all." He couldn't help but laugh at the POSITIVELY HYPER Ruby. Seemed some things never changed after all. "Anyway, sure thing, let's just take a look around shall we? We've seen a few of these places already so let's have fun with this!"

Yang nodded. "I'll take your word for it," she offered watching her sister
Ruby seemed to drift towards a store with what looked like odd clothes in the window. She blinked seeing a single blade in the window and waved to the group to join her.
Weiss sighed. "Looks like Ruby found something of interest, love birds," she commented.
Yang raised an eyebrow. "Two new shops in less than a month. Fitness Emotion and Dreams To Dust," she commented.

...... It was strange.... Both of those names sounded so familiar...... Given his experience with TV Shows, he was fairly certain that 'Fitness Emotions' sounded familiar from somewhere... He just wasn't sure exactly where.... The second one though... 'Dreams to Dust'... That sounded oddly familiar from something more personal. Like he had heard the name told to him personally by a person he once knew. The only thing was... Where exactly? It didn't exactly feel recent... But at the same time, it felt like it hadn't been that long ago at all...
Hmm.... Maybe he just needed to check these places out. "Hmmm... That is interesting... I wonder when they moved in.... Let's check em out." It was easy to tell what Fitness Emotions was... It appeared to be some sort of gym... He'd have to check that place out later... For now, He may as well check out 'Dreams to Dust'.
---------------------
When the door was pushed open, Alex and the bunch walked in, taking in the wide selection of clothes. "Huh... Interesting...."

The girls soon followed him in.
"Welcome to Dreams To Dust~" rang out a voice as a female came out of the back carrying a box marked 'Holiday Supplies'. "How may I-" the woman stopped in her tracks seeing who her customers. The badge on her white bolero read 'Beth-Owner'.
Yang blinked seeing the worker.
Ruby wandered over to the window display. "That looks a lot like Myrtenaster," she offered as the woman walked over.
"It is actually a working replica from my personal collection, Miss Rose," Beth offered as she set the box on a random shelf.

"BETH-?"Yeah, THAT addressed the elephant in the room. "Whoa whoa wait a second wait a seco... I thought you were resting in the Hospital, what are you doing here??" Alex definitely looked a great deal exasperated at what he, initially percieved as a sheer stubborness for coming in to work... However, something quickly caught his attention about this Beth.. She felt Different... She carried herself differently.......... It was... Strange... And yet intriguing....

It took Beth a few minutes to reply to Alex's inquiry. "I haven't been in a hospital for months, Aaron. I just got here to Dimensional Island a few days ago. And I hate to say that you've got the wrong Beth," the woman offered calmly with a weak sigh. "So what are you doing with three quarters of Team RWBY?" This Beth was definitely different from Forsaken. She not only felt more powerful and seemed to have an air of confidence that the latter lacked.
"That's Alex not Aaron," Yang corrected the older woman.
Beth sighed. "No insults meant Yang," she offered as Weiss watched her. Beth gave a small smile. "At any rate and no matter the time line, it's good to see my little brother happy with some one that can give him a run for his money."
Weiss blinked. "How can you tell?" She asked.
Beth chuckled. "It's my thing. I can see the bonds between people. Title is Witch of Blood after all," she offered as she went to pick the box up again. "Now. How may I help you today?"

"And there you go, one freshly Ignewax baked Cookie!" A large, Black candlestick man smiled, his flame burning bright as ever in the mall. "Yeesh, and what a cookie- I didn't know anyone could EAT that much cream..."
The one who took the cookie was none other than Nora, happily biting down on it as she gave him the money to pay for it. "Thanks for the cookie, Mr. Candlestick!" she cheered, walking along the outdoor mall before completely inhaling the darn cookie. With a resounding burp, she kept up her trek through the chilling environment.
It had been a little while since Metal Sonic had come through, and as such, she hadn't seen a lot of action recently either. With a resounding drop in her money supply coming with no job to keep herself busy, it was getting harder and harder to keep herself stuffed full as the days dwindled past. And considering stuffed full is exactly what it takes to keep her satisfied, you could imagine how dreadful she felt without much food in her stomach.
"Man... wonder if Pyrrha and Rin have found this island yet," she sighed, her eyes eventually catching the site of Dreams To Dust. But it wasn't the sight of the store that got her attention... it was who she saw inside.
She darted through, heading inside the building with a lot of haste. "RUBY?! YANG?!" she exclaimed, seemingly ignoring Weiss. "Wow, I can't believe you guys are here! Well, not that I really know where here is, but here is pretty fun and- When did you get that eyepatch?!"

Wait, Aaron? Alex? Got to the island days ago-... And now that he thought about it, this Beth did carry herself differently then Forsaken often did... "Wait a second.... Y-... You must be another one of those guys from the timeline where we actually WON the game! Yeah, that makes sense! We actually met a version of Pieter from that timeline some time ago too! So... You're that version of Beth huh..." He took a second to consider it, now remembering where he had heard the name 'Dust to Dreams' from before. It had been in a chat with his version of Beth during the game. It had been a name she always wanted to use.... And it looked like this version of her finally had the chance.
It made him feel somewhat nostalgic...
"Well... It's... Good to meet you Beth. Haha, I'm glad to see my ecto-sis getting along so well-" He was soundly interrupted by a new voice entering into the store and quickly addressing the members of RWBY. Turning, he found that the new arrival had been Nora of team JNPR. "UM... WOW-!! Looks like I'm just running into Remnant natives all over the place!"

Yang and Ruby both turned to look at the newcomer.
Weiss quietly went to browse the shop.
"N-n-nora?!?!? How long have you been here?" Yang uttered.
Ruby watched the woman in front of her. "Hi to you too Nora. And Cinder... bad fight and a long story... And no you don't want to see what's underneath..." she offered with a small smile.
Beth coughed slightly before bowing. "Guilty as charged. And It seems this is a popular spot for them to turn up," Beth offered with a smile before turning to Nora. "Welcome to El Grande Mall of Dimensional Island. And welcome to my shop, Miss Valkyrie."

"This place is called Dimensional Island?" she asked, dumbstruck. "Cool! Thanks for welcoming me here, Ms... Beth! Anyway, I don't really know how long I've been here. Been living off of whatever I could buy for a while, and that list just kept getting smaller the longer I stayed here... I just spent the last of my money on a cookie, in fact." The familiar grumble of a hungry stomach came from Nora's belly, the girl giving an embarrassed giggle as she put her hands over it. "You guys wouldn't know where I could find a place to earn money, would you?"

Alex just shrugged to Nora's question himself, deciding to let his eyes wander about the store and take in everything currently available. "I haven't really done a lot of job searching myself, so I don't know any place that's looking. Sorry." He shrugs to Beth, before a certain something quickly catches his attention. "Huuuuh~. That looks fun~." He meanders over to a number of costumes up on display that appear to be from numerous videogames. Hahaha~ Beth also ran a cosplay shop. That was amazing~.

Beth chuckled. "I guess I should have made the help wanted sign larger," she offered to Nora. Her attention turned to Alex and the others. "I do custom orders as well. Feel free to ask about anything in the shop."
"What is the deal with these things in the wall case?" Weiss soon asked.
Beth smiled. "Those are 3 of my designs from a show called Face Off. I was runner up with the theme of the season being Forgotten or Fallen Gods," she answered. "And the bismuth armor on the center figure was a butt to paint."
Yang stuck close to Alex as Ruby hugged Nora. "Good to see you alive. Ren, Pyrrha, and Jaune have been worried about you," the patch wearing girl offered calmly

"Heh, they really missed me?" she asked. When Beth mentioned a help wanted ad, Nora walked over. "Oooooh, may I work here, then? Would I need an application form? What kind of work can someone do at a costume shop anyway I mean cleaning seems an option, but-" Nora just kept rattling on and on, with no feasible end in sight.
