"Oh, I'll stop hiding..."
Solace smiled, staring at him from atop her UFO. "I just prefer more movement when I fight." A flaming sword appeared in her left hand, the woman smiling before swinging the extending blade at Lark.

"Yay! Swordfight! Swordfight! Then again..."
I clashed with the flaming sword, an impromptu earthen blade in my hand. "As it turns out, I did bring Mr Stabby today! Or is it Mr Mutilate? Soly, can you help me remember which one he is??"
I swung the earthen blade again at Soly's flaming sword, parrying, waiting for an opening.
"Man, it's been a while since we went all out like this? Not since we ended up in... Tokyo, in that weird version of earth? That big lizard guy sure helped us get away!"

Her blade of solid fire bent a little when his stone sword clashed, the woman using her UFO to free fly around. "That's definitely Mutilate- Stabby is a lot shorter, if I recall."
She kept clashing blades, groaning a bit. "That massive beast was a definite help, though- Of course, I didn't make this sword for parrying class."
She sliced the bamboo he was on, starting to float her way downward.

"Aww, I was plannin' on makin' soup later with the bamboo. That or build myself a private condo," I fake-complained as I summoned some wind to float myself to the ground. "And yes, I remember, this is Mr. Mutilate, thanks for the clarification Soly!"
I gracefully landed on the floor below the impromptu forest, using my staff to catch myself on the often dirt. "On the bright side, one of us'll probably be dead tonight. If you die I'm totally treatin' Leanne and her brothers and their friend- and yes, I'm sure they're here- to some good ol' homemade Thorn Soup!"
I snapped my fingers, a small ember sparking from that. "Hey, it's a classic, don't act like you've never made it yourself. I just do it... differently. I use soybeans, radishes, oh yeah and imp blood for special occassions."

More waves for fire sliced away at the bamboo, Solace hovering down on her platform UFO. "I's charming to hear you want my blood for your soup... But I was thinking the other way around," She smiled. She flipped a switch, the front of the UFO giving a hum before it generated a large, emerald shield around herself and the vessel. She closed her eyes, chanting as she flew around rampantly. She seemed certain her shield would help her out here...

"Hey Soly," I say, spinning my staff around, letting it build up some kinetic force. "That's a mighty fine vehicle you got there, is it ensured?"
With that, I chuck my staff. Solace appears to take notice of the swishing noise, but it's not right...
Why, after all, I've decided to send it on a few laps around Jupiter to pick up a bit more force. "It'd be a pity if something was to happen to it, eh?" I say casually, pointing my hand like a gun towards the bamboo, igniting a few nearby trees, generating smoke...
FWOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSHHHHH!!!!
Just in time for me to reopen the Galaxy Cloak and send a very high velocity spear towards her and the vehicle.

Solace seemed confused at first, watching the spear fly up... Just to shriek and flinch when a different spear flew straight into her shield, breaking through it mere inches from her face. The forcefield dissipated, the spear tipping off of her vehicle and landing on the ground. "...do you know how long it takes to repear that shield?!?" she groaned, pulling forth a plethora of bombs.
"You're asking for it, now, buster!"
She shot an ice bomb at the ground below, freezing the freshly soaked ground and rendering it difficult to properly move around. She then proceeded to fire even more, making freezing pillars of ice every shot before firing a brown colored bomb into one such pillar. The moment it made contact, the pillar shattered, large chunks of ice falling toward Lark.

And I just smirked.
A white bird with long tail feathers appeared in a small flash of silver light, narrowly avoiding the ice shards. The bird then turned and flew higher and higher, into the sky...
Into the sun.
Only for me to come crashing down towards Soly with my staff blade, spinning in circles as a fell.
"Rule number one Soly! Fly outta the sun, not into it!"

She growled a moment, reaching into her satchel. In a puff of smoke, she revealed an odd looking device. Tossing it toward Lark, the machine emitted a brief burst of power, knocking his weapon fom his hands and sending him toward the ice field.
In a hurry, she pulled out a laser pistol, pointing it at the man. "Rule Number two- Don't drop down on a foe with enhanced eyesight," she smiled, her robotic eye glowing.

"Aha."
My lips curved into a grin, baring my teeth. I could tell this wasn't what Soly was expecting if the surprised look on her face is any indicator.
And then, I just started laughing. Rather loud, I might add. "Ahahahahaha!!!! Aw man, feelin' inadequate Soly?!"
I threw back my head and just let out my best cackle. I clenched my fists as I did so, multiple small rock obelisks shot out of the ground, some piercing the ice field, sending some of the shards flying into the air.
With one hand, I pointed at Solace, ending the ice shards at her, while using the other to pull myself up. My all-too-familiar silver bow materialized in my hand, an arrow pointed at Soly.
"Rule number three," I said, chuckling, "Never underestimate the power of laughter."

A giant ball of fire blazed the ice, her own smile widening as she added more to the wave and sent it all splashing toward him. She shot a grenade with a skull and cross bones on it, the woman smiling all the while, knowing it would make contact with the arrow.
"Rule four: The abomcalypse cometh."
Just a blurry mess behind the water wave, Solace abandoned her UFO, hatching an identical one from her capsules and quickly turning on the shield, content to watch the incoming shenanigans.

"Rule five," I said in a rather cold voice, dropping my bow as it dissolved into a silvery light, "Always keep an escape route open."
Speaking of escape route, I morphed into my lark form and took for the air, flying higher and higher to avoid the inevitable explosion...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One could see and hear the explosion from quite a way back...

It was the one time she had left Nora in charge of the shop, had even told her that if customs were ordered to have the customer full out a form then that she'd look in and give the customers quotes over prices.
Her current target was a bizarre energy signature that was urging her the have opened the throttle on Delta. Weapon out just to be safe, the woman thought as she heard a barrage of bombs going off. A hand rested on the sword at her left hip as she came to a large clearing.

The smoke cleared, Solace still hiding in her shield bubble. It flickered a moment before it phased out, the imp sighing as she stroked her ponytail. "Well that happened," she smiled, soon realizing someone was approaching. Her horns gave a glow, the imp shrouding herself in invisibility.

"You're a real coward, Soly, y'know that?" I said as I perched myself on one of the remaining bamboo sprouts. I gave the best frown that my bird form would allow as I glanced at my tail.
"Oh, and you singed my tail feathers, too," I added as I assessed the damage. Can't imagine how bad the damage'll be when I revert to human form. "Do you know how long it took to get them to look that nice, too?"
Someone's coming, I sensed. Might as well remain in bird form for the time being...
