"Did someone rough you up?" Sonic asked. "We can rough them up back if you want."
Sonic spun in place, smiling.

Ruby watched her sister.
"No one roughed me up, Sonic. Besides it's rather impolite to sic a Beowulf on anyone. Just don't have my usual set of abilities," Yang offered.
"You mean you don't do the super sayain thing anymore?" Ruby asked.
"Nope. And Weiss is pretty much a civilian," Yang offered.

"What, are you talking about that thing where people go all Aaaaah!!!' and they're strong afterward?" Sonic asked. He quickly stopped, looking around to make sure no-one was paying attention or following them.

Yang raised an eyebrow. "Kinda but mine was more of the more I get hit the stronger my strikes get," the blonde brawler answered.
"And more often than not, Yang tends to catch fire or make things explode," Ruby added.

Sonic started laughing. "You'd love my buddy knuckles then. The guy loves to throw flaming punches, and his hits are well known for being explosive," he grinned. "Wouldn't be surprised if he was around here somewhere..."

Ruby sat back on her hunches and watched the pair.

"No... last I knew he was still at home," Sonic admitted, "Wherever he is, I haven't a clue-"
A foreign roar called from nearby, Sonic flinching in response. "Well that doesn't sound friendly," he sighed.

Ruby's attention turned towards the sound. She gave a low warning growl.
Yang readied her fists. She was still armed with Ember Cecilia as the gauntlets whirled to life. "Hopefully this isn't a Boaratusk," she offered.

A giant, red and spiky turtle shell whirled after them, Sonic hopping out of the way as it barreled straight for Yang. Whatever was in that shell did not seem to be very happy at all.

Yang watched the shell draw closer before just jumping over it and hanging in the air for a few second.
Ruby on the other hand was growling and chasing the shell. She gave a yelp when Yang landed on her back. "Little warning next time sis?" she asked.
"Maybe. But right now we have an enemy to worry about," Yang offered.

Rather than crash straight through the building it was aimed at, the massive shell bounced off, heading for them once again. "You guys hit it when I'm done- I've got a plan," he smirked. The hedgehog spun himself into a ball rotating in place, several blue pedals gathering behind him before clamping onto his spherical body as a rose, tensing itself up before the hedgehog BLASTED OFF AT LUDICROUS SPEED.
He zipped right under the shell, making it flip into the air as whatever occupied it finally had its arms and legs forced to pop out. The creature looked dizzy and uncoordinated, flipping through the air in vain as it flailed.
Sonic, meanwhile, zoomed straight up a building, bouncing off and flipping through the air above the massive turtle. With a smirk, the hedgehog directed his gravity downward, kicking it in the gut and bouncing off as the giant creature slammed spikes first onto the street.
"BOOM?! BOOM! BOOOOOM!!" it growled, trying to get up. "NOT! FUN!"

Yang dropped herself from her hover and aimed fist first with the barrel on her gauntlets smoking.
Ruby nodded and growled. She let Yang get the first hit in before attempting to swipe at the weird turtle.

The giant thing roared and flailed, looking angrier and angrier as she shot him with her flaming bullets. The spikes on his shell retracted, the turtle spinning onto his belly as he roared out, snorting steam from his nostrils.
