Getting transported to another dimension by any means –whether it be a spontaneous rip in the spacetime continuum, a summoning spell, or some other kind of unexplainable cosmic phenomenon– was certainly cause for concern, no matter who you were. For some, this could be a reality-shattering crisis, stranding them in an unfamiliar environment with no hope of survival or return. For others, it might just be an inconvenience.
Kelsey was somewhere closer to the latter. Having spent a good year or so fighting demons under the influence of a demon of her own had left her somewhat accustomed to these sorts of oddities. Somewhat. Sure, there were things she was worried about, but as long as she was here, as long as she could go home anytime she wanted, and as long as her absence wouldn't prove detrimental, she figured she might as well try to enjoy her experience on this... island, as Tri had called it.
But exploring would have to wait. Kelsey was worn out, somewhat physically but mostly mentally. After getting sucked into another universe, combatting a monstrous degenerate, and being forced to coat herself in corrosive slime, could anyone blame her for seeking some TLC first? This brought her to the Void City Hotel. Tri had been kind enough to summon Kelsey's purse from her dorm back home so she could pay for rent. As she checked in, she made a mental note to have him send Lily a message too; poor girl was probably worried sick about her.
Soon enough, Kelsey had her room key and was riding the elevator up several floors. Upon stepping out, she began a brisk walk down the hall, hands in her pockets, flannel shirt tucked under her arm, smile exhausted but still optimistic. "Well, here's to hoping this goes well."
"Here's to hoping our neighbors aren't bats*** crazy. Or horny," Tri snickered as the invisible astral demon floated behind her.

"RUBY!!!" came a voice that could only be described as slightly peeved as banging was heard on another door. "WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT MESSING WITH MY HAIR?!??!"
"I DIDN'T! I HAVEN't BEEN IN YOUR ROOM FOR A WEEK!!!" replied another voice. This sounded younger than the first and slightly fearful. It seemed this 'Ruby' had pissed off a neighbor in some way, shape, or form.
The offended party looked to be in their, well her, early 20s and had oddly purple hair. "Ruby. If you didn't do it then who did? I woke up with hair as black as Uncle Qrow's this morning. It's about the same color as Glynda's cape, now," the purple haired female offered as a door opened.
On the other side, was another female with an eye patch over one eye and in a tank with what looked like a wolf faced heart on it. "That's a surprisingly good color on you sis. And have you bothered to ask Todd or Blake. You could have accidently mixed up one of their products for yours," offered the black and red haired girl. Her good eye looked down the hall. She gave a weak wave to Kelsey. "Hey there. Sorry if we bothered you. Yang thought I messed with her stuff... again..."
The purple haired female looked over. She gulped. "Hi... yeah sorry for being so noisy..." she offered.

Kelsey jumped slightly, startled by the shout. When the purple-haired woman came storming out to give her neighbor a piece of her mind, all Kelsey could think to do was stand there and watch. Her room was just a couple doors down, but she didn't quite feel comfortable maneuvering around them to finish her trek.
At least not until they directly addressed her, apologizing for the commotion. In response, Kelsey just smiled meekly and waved them off. "Uh, heheh... No worries. Carry on." She genuinely hoped they got this ordeal sorted out. Whether it was a prank or an accident, she knew she would be upset to have her hair unwittingly dyed too.
She then passed the two girls by and resumed scanning the room numbers. All the while, as he continued to float behind her, Tri looked back at Ruby and Yang and let out a cheeky whistle. "Got a couple of dangerous ladies on our floor. I am liking this place."
Kelsey just sighed and rolled her eyes at that, perking back up once she reached her room. A quick slide of the key later, she threw the door open and took a good look inside the quaint little space. One queen-sized bed, a little table with two chairs, a dresser with a TV atop it, a closet, a kitchenette with a stocked single-serving coffee maker, and bathroom with plenty of fresh towels and soaps. It was standard, but it was everything she needed.
Almost.

Ruby sighed. "Well that went decently," she offered as one of her roommates poked her head out. "Hi Weiss."
"Why is Yang's hair purple?" the white haired girl asked.
"Someone tampered with my shampoo and conditioner. It was black earlier..." she offered.
There was snickering from within the room.

Kelsey had been quick to hop in the shower, eager to wash the dirt and slime off. Once she finished, she was pleasantly surprised to find her pajamas resting on the sink, no doubt Tri's doing. For an all-powerful archdemon with a thirst for vengeance and an oftentimes irritatingly snarky attitude, he sure did have his sweet moments.
This did eventually raise the question of where he had gotten off to. After toweling off, blow drying her hair and getting dressed, Kelsey stepped out of the bathroom to find that Tri had vanished. Of course, this wasn't particularly uncommon and their connection allowed her to contact him anytime she wanted, but still... what was he up to in this new territory?
"Tri?"
No response.
"C'mon, Tri, I know you can hear me. What're you doing?"
Nothing.
Kelsey sighed with frustration. It wasn't often that he gave her the silent treatment (usually it was the complete opposite), but when he did, it was aggravating. Knowing him, he would probably pop back up at the most inconvenient moment, so she opted to leave it be and relax until then.
First things first. She needed a drink. So Kelsey grabbed her key, purse and ice bucket and stepped out into the hallway, walking back the way she came in search of an ice machine, as well as some vending machines should this hotel floor have any.

Kelsey would see the purple haired woman attempting to beat the snot out of a girl zipping about on a weird cube.
"SO WORTH IT!!!" the cube riding brunette offered as she zipped about. An identical male let the palm of his hand meet his face.

Oh boy... this again...
Kelsey awkwardly stood by, clutching her ice bucket, as the two women sailed past. She had a good idea what was going on, but she wasn't sure if she needed or wanted to get involved in this debacle. Not like this. Eventually, she bucked up and started to swerve around the action with a nervous smile and a hushed "Excuse me."

The cube riding girl skidded to a halt only to be punched.
"Yang!" Shouted the male.
"What? She's the perp," Yang, the purple haired female, offered as she seemed to relax.
The male gestured to Kelsey. Yang gulped. "Hi again," she offered as the elevator dinged. Yang carried the look of 'Oh crap' on her face as she moved out of the way.

"I-It's okay," Kelsey replied, maintaining a smile despite her rattled nerves. "Just, uh... Just trying to get some ice. Don't mind me."
Once she had gotten around them, Kelsey spotted a directory on the wall, assuring her that she was heading in the right direction. Before continuing her trek, she turned back to the odd group and shyly stated, "I-I'm Kelsey, by the way..."

"The punchy one is Yang. Miss Prim in white is Weiss. The one out cold is my psuedo twin Forsaken- she picked the name overt her given one. Pirate in the tank is Ruby, Yang's half sister. Kitty here next to me is Blake. And I'm Todd Emerick. Sorry for the chaos you've been witnessing," the male offered. "And the ice machine down the hall and on the left is the better of the two."
Todd got a few glares from the girls. "Forsaken thought it would be funny to mess with Yang's hair. She apparently forgot how hard the latter hits..."

Nora peeked out of the room, tilting her head. "You guys having a party without me~?" she asked, smiling.

"Well... nice to meet you guys," Kelsey chuckled. "Hope you... get all this sorted out. Guess I'll see you around."
With that, Kelsey turned back around and continued making her way down the hall...

"It's aa sorted out as it can be," Todd offered as what looked to be an older version of Forsaken poked her head out of the door.
"Can we refrain from punching the idiot? I have stuff to fix it, what ever the dama-.... Does Alex know that Yang's hair is that color?" The older asked. She gave a wave to the newcomer.

Nora chuckled. "Hey, nice to meet you too!" She looked ready to say something else, but stopped. The sound of something obsessively mewing next door could be heard. "The Hotel pranked Pommy again," Nora giggled as the door was bumped.

Opting to leave her neighbors to their business, Kelsey kept walking until she reached the ice machine, pleasantly surprised to find vending machines as well. She promptly purchased a bag of Sun Chips and filled up her ice bucket, then started heading back to her room with her acquisitions in hand. As she neared the commotion again, though, she slowed down slightly, tilting her head in confusion.
