Alex couldn't help but laugh at Ruby's giddy nature, as he paid for his new copy of Earthbound. "Hahaha~! Well I look forward to seeing what you got either me or your sister Ruby~." He was quick to store the game away placing it in a sack that he was quick to label 'For Self' and then storing it away. It wasn't like he didn't have a few surprises for Ruby as well~.

Alex had spent the few minutes after leaving Vintage Stock to go to the bathroom and check himself over in the mirror. He had went that day with long sleeves to hide the scars along his arms, but when he rolled up the sleeves he found that the scars were now mostly gone now just vague pale lines along the skin. When he lifted the Ice Pack eyepatch, he found the shiner healing up and now back to a normal size and shape, though his eye was still slightly squinted...
STILL! At this rate, thanks to Yang's aura it would likely be fully gone later this afternoon. He had the feeling Yang would have liked that. The ice pack tied to his face likely bothered Yang in some way, so it would not be missed when it was discarded.
Once he reattached the ice pack and rolled down the sleeves, he rejoined the others outside. "Welp! On the plus side, I'm nearly done healing. I think the black eye should be done healing up in a few more hours... Yang? Thank you so much for the aura, it's a miracle worker~."

Weiss gave a confused look. "How did you give him aura?" She asked.
"Welcome dear," Yang offered before sighing. "That would be due to the Black Fog... we had one hell of a sparring match and he figured out how to steal and activate his own aura." Her answer was heavily whispered given the video had been taken down and the fact she and Alex hadn't been caught yet.

Alex chuckled at the three as he went back over his list. He knew he would have to give it a lot of scrutiny after all given the people he was now shopping for...
Frisk would likely enjoy the Disney Movies he picked up a great deal...
Papyrus, Alphys and Undyne would be easy to please with Anime, though the Buster Sword for Undyne would definitely help.
Asgore? .... Hmmmmmmm.... Well, Asgore had always been a gardener at heart... So maybe getting him some simple gardening equipment might be good. Maybe a new water bottle? Seemed rather simplistic for the king of Monsters...
Prishe was another odd case since she was often seen hanging around the bunch. He had decided to leave her off the list for now.
That just left the three members of Team RWBY.
Ruby would be simple enough. There was only one thing she really found any interest in. Fighting, moving about, and generally keeping active. He wasn't really sure how interested she would be sitting still for a movie, let alone a TV series, but he figured some sort of battle based anime would at least hold her attention and would make a good attempt. With that in mind, Rourouni Kenshin and Naruto were anime that seemed to fit the most and if that didn't work? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, because they were always classics.
It was hard to tell what he could get for Weiss though since she had such refined tastes. She wasn't someone he could see naturally gravitating towards anything he could discern... He'd have to keep his eyes open in the future...
And as for Yang?
.... Well he already had a number of ideas. Many of them weren't anything so provincial as movies or games.
And then of course there was Ryan and Lizzie. Games of course for the former, maybe a stuffed animal or two and some new bedspread, he'd need some stuff to help settle in to his place. And for the latter? Some new art books, colored pencils, some new gloves to wear for interaction with said things... That seemed to be everything...
Everything except for the Tree and Christmas decorations... Boy it would've been so great to just go back through his void holder and find intact christmas lights and decorations, but remembering how Rendface was, he wasn't holding his breath to find anything in working condition in there... Or at least nothing from his old session anyway...
.... He would really have to empty that thing out sooner or later.....
What was even the point of holding onto all of that old junk?

"Well, for now, I think we have enough stuff for presents. We should probably make our way to Lowes and start picking out a tree for the hotel room." He smiles. "I'll come back by with Lizzie, Erin and Ryan to pick out our own tree and decorations later on."

"So how do you pick a Christmas tree?" Weiss asked as they walked along.
Yang and Ruby both stopped dead in their tracks. The pair looked at Weiss as if she had two heads.
"Weiss..... did you ever have a family trip to a store to buy one or in the forest to cut one down?" Yang asked.
"The tree was always delivered and the servants would decorate it," she answered like it was a normal thing.

"YOU POOR THING-!!" Alex all but shouted in complete exasperation. "You mean, you've never even decorated your OWN TREE before?? That's AWFUL!" Ruby and Yang were in clear agreement as they pulled their team-mate into a protective hug. "That simply WON'T do at all! Okay gang, that settles it! Let's go and pick out the best tree we can find! Weiss needs the full Christmas treatment! Come on! Let's go!"
He was quick to lead the charge to Lowes. IT was clear. They needed a Christmas Tree.
Sooner rather then later.

Yang laughed. "That's the best part! The year we got Zwei, he some how got up into the tree with out knocking it over," Yang offered with a smile.
"You sing Christmas tunes, drink hot chocolate, and just have fun," Ruby offered joyfully.

Ah, Lowes. One of the best place to find Christmas trees, Christmas lights, tinsel, various electronic brick-a-brack that sung christmas carols, rooftop decorations... IT was a great place to go overall. But first things first, Christmas trees. Alex had made sure to secure his jacket before heading out the door leading to the open air garage outside of the Lowes. Outside, there were many Christmas trees all ripe and ready for the picking. So many to choose from...
"Okay girls~. It's cold out here, so let's find a good tree nice and quick." There was definitely a lot to choose from, big trees, small trees, trees of a different color, trees with a different luster, trees with varying degrees of pine needle density... Now the trick was.... Which one?

Yang blinked as she found a pitch black pine tree. "Can we agree on none of the odd colored ones?" she asked.
"But this one is cool!" Ruby offered gesturing to an orange tree.
"It looks kinda dead Ruby," Weiss offered as she walked from her partner and Yang.

Alex couldn't help but notice the initial choice by Ruby, chuckling at the girl all the while. "Hahahaha~. Sorry Ruby. Maybe next year~." Okay back to this.
He started going through the trees systematically, sorting out the more unhealthy colors quickly enough to picking out some of the greener looking and sturdier trees... Hmmm, they could likely spring for something fairly sizable as well since his void or Backpack modus could afford to carry it. And whipping it out in the living room? Even easier. However now that he thought about it. Perhaps getting a stand for the tree as well would have made sense as well. He couldn't help but remember his old set-up back home, getting a tree-stand, a tree and a fluffy white sheet spread to make the stand appear like snow around the base instead.
Something to consider.
In the meantime however... "Hey girls! How about this one? Over here!"

Weiss happily nodded. "That one looks perfect," she offered.
Yang nodded as her sister hugged Alex.

It was good to see the girls agreeing. Ruby hugging him out of nowhere also slightly caught him off guard, but it was a pleasant surprise. "Alright. Let's get this thing packaged up then."
Still, he noted, he should keep track of this cost at the very least. He figured Todd owed him somewhat for paying for his own tree and his own ornaments.

Buying up the tree had been no problem, storing it away? Hunky dory.
However, leaving Lowes itself was proving to be a challenge.
Alex decided to wait near the door way, looking over one of his most recent book purchases as he awaited Team RWBY to rejoin him. While they were passing through the store, Ruby, thanks in part to a 10 year old unironically enjoying them, found her attention caught by a bunch of electronic table-top electronic toys that sang Christmas Carols. You know the kinds, the kinds that try to be cute or charming in an intentionally overworked comedic way. Needless to say, Alex wisely excused himself before the songs got stuck in his head.
It fell on Yang and Weiss to pull Ruby away from them, and the ruckus they caused during such was three kinds of fun, and cute, to watch.

Weiss was walking back to Alex and a with a red face of embarrassment she gave a sigh. "So.... what are you reading?" She asked once she got to him.

On the other hand, Yang was pulling Ruby by her cloak back to Alex. "You pressed Rudolph to sign 50 times. That is enough," the blonde commented.
"But Yang! It was fun!" the younger sister whined as she squirmed out of Yang's grip and out of her cloak.
"Fun or not, we still have things to cover and get," Yang offered as Ruby came to walk next to her.

"Oh!" Alex looked up to see Weiss walking up to him. He shows off the cover of the book to her. "It's a uh... Comedy series." The title read clearly 'The Devil is a Part Timer Volume 3'. "Pretty big dork for the series you see. Have been since before recent events. So you can imagine I was happy to find that the series exists on the island~."
He notices Yang and Ruby rushing up to them, Yang almost dragging Ruby along. "Hahahaha~. Glad to see you had fun." He saw her expression. "And before you ask, no. If we bought one of those things you'd waste the batteries within the day."

Still, the fact that Ruby was so infatuated with anything resembling Zwei did at least bring the thought to mind........ Alex would have to remember that. "Hey who knows Rubles? Maybe Santa Clause will bring you something like it." Yang and Weiss looked a bit panicked to hear that, while Alex himself just smiled and shrugged. "I mean, you never know right? Santa's always been good with that kind of thing."
Before anyone could say anything, Alex appeared to notice a large collection of children gathered at a Northpole set-piece with a number of adults dressed as elves. In the center? What appeared to be a Santa Clause look-alike. "Well~. Speak of the devil. You can go ask him now if you want."
