Alex tilted his head at Ruby, looking a bit confused.... Slowly the realization came to him. "What? Oh come on! Lil' Miss 'I'll play with kiddie electronics for hours' Ruby doesn't believe in Santa Claus?" He almost looked like he was in complete disbelief.
What and he DID?

Ruby looked down at the ground. "..... Do I have to answer that? I haven't since I was 13. I asked to see mom again..." There was a beat before Ruby raised an eyebrow. Her good eye trained on the thief. "And I'm guessing my sister's boyfriend does?" she replied with a cheeky smile.

.... Alex just grinned at Ruby, close to snickering, likely confusing her and the other girls.
"WELLLLL.... I guess you could put it that way." Scratching behind his head a little bit, Alex couldn't help but blush at Ruby's explanation. "I respect your reasons of course, that kind of thing can be tough on anyone. But hey~."
There was a brotherly nudge to the shoulder before the thief of Void led his way to the next store on the list. "You're in our, or that is to say MY, town now~. Try to keep an open mind. Do that and who knows what kind of amazing things you might find next~."

"Sure. I can try," she offered as her cloak swished slightly.
Yang smiled. "Do or do not. There is no try," she teased.
"What gibberish are you saying, Yang?" Weiss asked as they followed Alex.
If this was an anime, Yang would have a one of those tear drops behind her head. "I was quoting Yoda," she offered.
"My sister is a nerd!" Ruby proudly teased.

"I feel like I should claim partial responsibility for that~..." Alex said bashfully, chuckling under his breath. It looked like he was taking some joy out of that claim. "I'm the one that introduced her to Star Wars... Though I'll admit, she surprised me with her inherent like of it from the beginning. So maybe Todd is more what influenced it then me."
A laugh followed as the four arrived at the ornament shop, Alex taking it in. "Hehehe, I wonder if this place will have any novelty ornaments in, like Star Wars and stuff~. Could be worth checking out."

Ruby chuckled as she walked with Weiss. "This is certainly a lively Christmas," she offered.
"Last year Zwei chased Blake up the Grand Tree," Weiss noted.

In the ornament store, Alex and Yang continued checking out the ornaments. Still, the two did take notice that they were by themselves for a moment. Alex readjusted his ice-pack eye-patch before turning to Yang, smiling to her simply. "Well, I'd say this trip is turning out pretty golden~. It's been quite the fun little experience, just bonding and buying up junk for the coming Christmas season." He picks up a box with a How To Train your Dragon character ornament within giving it a once over. "Though I guess I'm still kind of getting my uh... 'social' bearings with Ruby and Weiss."
It was a little hard to admit that really. It definitely felt like there was good connection there, but it seemed to come and go at it's own leisure.
"Hahaha.... And the best part is? I'll have to do all of this again with Ryan and Lizzie." He looked a bit giddy about the prospect. "Should be fun I think. Me and Lizzie could use the time to talk some more about what all's been going on. And Ryan just needs the chance to get integrated into the group and get comfy around us."

... !!! "Oh!! That's right!" He snapped his fingers in realization. "I haven't had the chance to tell you about him yet... Ryan's another one of the players in our old game. More specifically he's the Seer of Heart, a powerful seer capable of discerning one's emotions and intent with just a look. Along with that however, he's able to create living drawings that can fight for him. The guy's kind of down on himself though since, unlike me and the others, he hasn't really found a practical use for his powers in combat outside of support." Alex shook his head somberly. "Oh well, at least he does well as the team's psychologist after a fashion. He's helped a lot of us through certain issues we've faced during the game."
He chuckles a bit. "Needless to say, seeing him again, even another version of him, is always a pleasure. He really is quite the sweetheart. He gets along great with Lizzie too."

"Well, I think he's a pretty big fan of your series, so him getting to meet you would definitely make his day." Alex chuckled some more- "Oh hey! Yang look at this!" Alex pulled out what looked like another ornament box. Decorating the front? DARTH VADER HIMSELF as an ornament... Though the ornament design also seemed to have some kind of plug-in. "I had an ornament like this before~. All you have to do is plug that thing into one of the Christmas lights instead of a bulb and the Vader Ornament speaks whenever you tap the base!"

Alex definitely looked like he was doing better. In spite of the ice pack on his eye, he looked like he was doing much better. "Agreed~!" The laugh following this statement was a playful and somewhat dorky one, as the Thief held the box and went back to check on the others. There was still a lot of room left to put stuff on a Christmas tree after all... Eh, maybe he could leave some space. After all, this was going to be Todd and Beth's new tree after all. He could focus on his own when he came back here with Lizzie and Ryan.
....
Still being there with Yang just added to the enjoyment all the more. He looked to her, smiling and giddy. "So, Yang. Whatcha looking forward to this coming Holiday season?"

Yang softly smiled and pulled Alex close. "Being with my family and friends," she answered with a sneaky smile as her eyes looked up. An all to familiar green sprig with white berries hung over their heads. "Alex. Look up."
